A. Preparatory Activities
1. Review
Using your own scratch paper or show-me-board. Rename the numbers.

Example: 32 answer: 3 tens 2 ones

2. Motivation
What do you do when there are many children who want to buy food in the canteen?
(We form a line and wait for our turn.) Why should you wait for your turn?

B. Preparatory Activities
1. Presentation
a. Ask 10 pupils to stand in front of the class and let them form a line.
The class will identify themselves by their names. Why do you think the children are falling in line? Who
is number 1 in the line? Ask: What is his/her position?
Present the ordinal numbers in words and in symbols.
b. Use cutouts and follow the same procedure. Have the pupils read the ordinal numbers and number
names of each object.
c. Look at the pictures.

(Ask the same question up to 10th)
Place the corresponding ordinal number card and number name on each object and ask the pupils to
read them.

2. Fixing Skills/Practice

group who will complete the chart first wins the game.
