My physics teachers are amazing. They always explained concepts using everyday examples. Most
important is to understand concepts, learn how to apply them and solve questions. One cannot
understand physics untill you visualise and observe.
Class lectures forms a base followed by self study which builds up the concept and question practice
gives the finishing. After attending the class for a given topic, I used to thoroughly read H.C. Verma sir's
book followed by solving it completely including solved examples and short answers. Then I solved
coaching modules and sheets. I read and solved NCERT side by side or once the chapter is completed in
class including points to ponder, blue boxes and additional exercises. There are many points and concepts
exclusively in NCERT to be covered. So one shouldn't neglect physics NCERT though you'll understand it
better after the chapter is complete or when you read it again after completing your physics syllabus. Non
medical physics modules of my coaching (I solved these all the chapters in class 11 but only till Current
Electricity in class 12 due to shortage of time) and previous year JEE Mains and Advanced questions
(including integer type questions execpt for a few chapters) followed it. It helped me to be conceptually
strong. I also used University Physics by Hugh Young and Roger Freedman and Fundamentals of Physics
by David Halliday, Robert Resnick and Jearl Walker to read a few topics in detail. PDFs of these books are
available online for free. I also solved NCERT Exemplars completely. Some questions in the exemplar are
really good and bring out the beauty of the subject.
I solved all this material becuase I like the subject. Also AIIMS UG enterance examination used to be separate
but was merged with NEET UG from 2020 onwards and this news was finalized as late as Oct' 2019 when my
syllabus was completed.
Considering the level of the paper now, I think coaching material or any NEET level practice book and
NCERT is sufficient to prepare Physics for NEET. If you want you can also solve H.C. Verma sir's book.
