2022 Presentation

Began with reading the Hadith of Gabriel or Jibriel (as)

This hadith or (text) will set the stage or guidelines how


this Halaqa (learning circle will be conducted) and where
the content from the halaqa will come from.

Slide 2 This hadith show the best way from Islamic


perspective of how to impart knowledge: That is with
Questions and Answers.

When we look at the Arabic does not say what is


Eemaan it says Inform me of Eemaan or what to have
Faith in.

So we first give comprehensive definition of Eemaan

Slide 3: What is Eeman? Define from 40 hadith


Linguistic means: Confirmation, affirmation, firmly convinced with absolute
certaining about the truth without doubt.

Shari’ah: Utterance with the tongue, Belief in the heart, Acting with the
Limbs
Salaf (predecessor) That Eemaan is (Statement)
and (Actions).

With Eeman pertaining Statements, it deal with the heart


and, tongue.
Statements
Statements of the heart is that you are affirming, confirming,
bearing witness to the truth that there is no Deity/object of worship
except Allah.

Statements of the tongue La illaha illa Allah

Actions And with the actions it deals with Heart,


Tongue and Limbs

Actions of the heart, (Al khawf, Ar Rajaa, Tawakkul, towards


Allah) Worship

Action tongue, Dhikr Allah, Du’a, Giving Salaams, Kind words

Action limbs, Salah, Zakat, performing hajj, wudu etc.….

So we can see from this that Emaan is also actions


This why through the Qur’an Allah partners faith
with Action
Suratul Asr
Sahih International: By time,

Sahih International: Indeed, mankind is in loss,

Shakir: Except those who believe and do good, and enjoin on each other
truth, and enjoin on each other patience.

In order for us to have complete Faith.


Utterance with the tongue,
Belief in the heart,
Acting with the Limbs.

The example that scholars use is the

Our faith increase and decrease. It decrease with obedience


and decrease with disobedience
Muhammad Sarwar: It is God who has given
confidence to the hearts of the believers to increase
and strengthen their faith. To God belongs the
armies of the heavens and the earth. He is All-
knowing and All-wise.

But when the Prophet was asked by Angel Jibreel what is
Eeman (faith) or Inform me of Faith or What to have faith
in he said “Faith is to believe in Allah,
His angels,
His books,
His messengers
, the Last Day,
and to believe in divine decree both its good and its
bad.”
