CIRCULAR -1

Bangladesh Scouts will host the 32nd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree on 11-19
December 2022 at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Industrial City, Mirsarai, Chattogram. 10000
local and overseas participants are expected to take part in this prestigious Jamboree.

Basic information of the Jamboree are as follows:

Date : 11-19 December 2022


Participants are requested to arrive on the Jamboree ground on 11th
December 2022 before 5:00 pm and may depart on 19th December 2021
after breakfast.
Venue : Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Industrial City, Mirsarai, Chattogram
Theme : Sabash … a fountain of energy

[Sabash is a Bengali word and in English it means WELL DONE. Scouts


always do good turns. This theme has been chosen to encourage the
Scouts to do more good turns with a fountain of energy]
Participation : Scouts: Aged between 12-17 years (Standard Badge Holder); Scouts
Criteria should be physically and mentally sound.
Unit Leaders: Minimum Wood Badge Holder
Formation of : 9 Scouts and 1 Unit Leader will form a complete Unit. In this case, Scouts
Unit from the same Unit will be considered.
Participation : Tk. 20,000/- (twenty thousand taka) per Unit. Jamboree authority will
Fee provide central ration to the participating Units so that the Units can have
same food during the event. The participants themselves will have to cook
their own food.

Accommodation : All participating Units will be accommodated in Tents. The
participants themselves will have to bring all necessary belongings
suitable for camping and tent accommodation. Since the Jamboree
will be held in winter season, the participants will have to bring
accommodation materials good enough to protect cold wave.
Ground sheets, Blankets, winter clothes, jackets/sweaters will also
have to be brought with each and every participant.
Submission of : All the Regions are requested to submit the duly filled up ‘UNIT
Unit Registration REGISTRATION FORM’ attached herewith to the National
Form Headquarters on or before 30th December 2021. The Forwarding
should include the list of participating Units of the respective Region.

Further information will be sent through the Jamboree Circular No. 2 soonest.

Your whole-hearted support and cooperation to make the Jamboree a success will be
much appreciated.
