Human Rights
Every person is entitled to certain fundamental rights, simply by the fact of being human.
One of the ways that recognize the fundamental worth of every person is by acknowledging and
respecting their human rights. Human rights are inherent to all human beings, regardless of their
gender, race, ethnicity, language, religion or any other status. Human rights are a set of principles
concerned with equality and fairness. Equality affirms that all human beings are born free and
equal. It emphasizes leading a life devoid of intimidation, harassment, or discrimination.
“The rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened.” -John F.
Kennedy. Right to life protects the lives of human beings. It ensures no one can kill you and thus
safeguards your peace of mind. Subsequently, the freedom of thought and religion allows
citizens to follow any religion they wish to. Moreover, it also means anyone can think freely.
Human rights also give you the right to a fair trial. Every human being has the right to move to
the court where there will be impartial decision making. They can trust the court to give them
justice when everything else fails.
The long and systematic oppression of the Indian masses resulted in the first war for Indian
independence in 1857. Dissatisfaction, frustration, and alienation with British rule fueled strong
national feelings and a demand for political privileges and rights. Finally, the Indian people, led
by Mahatma Gandhi, forced the British to leave India, establishing the country's freedom and
independence. Human Rights are fundamental rights that are required for a person's growth as a
human being. The Constitution protects those fundamental rights known as Fundamental Rights
and DPSPs. The fundamental rights have received more attention, and they are now immediately
enforceable in a court of law. For the purpose of ending discrimination against individuals and
preserving societal harmony, human rights are essential. Additionally, it facilitates the
government's efficient operation. By tackling every social issue, these rights raise the level of
trust that the public has in the government.
However, there's still some countries that still not comply or look down the human rights. We
should consider this issues as our motivation to intensify the battle for prevention of violating
human rights so that human rights attain by every human beings. In order to ensure that people
can seek recourse and restitution in the face of injustice, state mechanisms for promoting and
protecting human rights must be developed. A human rights commission that is active and
independent can participate in this procedure. Sometimes, if there is political will, all that is
needed for this endeavor is training and financing opportunities. The international community
must also encourage and support human rights commissioners.
Human rights are the essential rights every human must obtain regardless of their status. Equality
affirms that all humans should be treat equably to acknowledge their fundamental worth as a
person in by respecting their human rights. The Constitution protects those fundamental rights
for the purpose of ending discrimination against individuals and preserving societal harmony. In
other situations, considerable political pressure is needed to persuade a government to permit the
formal and practical independence of its human rights commission. Because of this, it's critical to
encourage current human rights commissions to take an active and crucial part in defending
human rights.
