INTRODUCTION
In this report I will analyze the performance of Babar Azam and Virat Kohli in T20
format. First I will analyze their careers on the basis of how many runs they have scored
in the matches they have played so far and will see their stats and try to analyze them on
multiple grounds. I have compared both players on their career average, number of fours
they hit in their career so far and then their strike rates. Furthermore, then I have seen that
which player has better average while bating first and second. Comparison between each
player that how they have got dismissed and in the end on their performance in different
World Cups.

BABAR AZAM
These stats of Babar Azam shows that he has scored 3140 runs in his 89 matches at an
average of 44.72 which is very healthy in this format. His strike rate is 130.02 which is
less than Kohli’s strike rate but his conversion rate to 50 per innings is 3.01. He has
played 89 matches and scored 28 fifties and 2 hundred which shows his outstanding
performance in this format.

VIRAT KOHLI
These stats of Virat Kohli shows that he has scored 3712 runs in his 101 appearances at
an average of 50.84 which is great consistency in T-20 cricket. His strike rate is also very
impressive he scored runs on the strike rate of 138.24 which is a very healthy strike rate.
His conversion rate to 50 per innings is 3.17 is also pretty good. In his 101 matches he
has scored 33 fifties and 1 hundred are which are quite impressive this shows his
brilliance in this format.

graph of Virat Kohli is constantly moving mostly is between 40 and 50 and same is the
case with the graph of Babar Azam in the middle period but in the end we can see the

VIRAT KOHLI
The right graph shows us that the strike rate of Virat Kohli was between 130 to 140 in his
early innings then there is increase in the graph and it moves upward in the middle phase
that at one point it touches 200 and in middle period it is between 150 to 100 then we can
a drop in his strike rate and in the end we can see that it is dropping from 170 to 100.

As the graph shows us that the strike rate of Babar Azam was lower in the early stages of
his career between 100 to 120 and at one stage it drops less than 50 moreover in the
middle period it crosses 200 twice furthermore, then we can see a drop of the strike rate
in the graph lately it has dropped from 130 to less than 100.

Babar Azam

The graph of number of fours is below 6 in the initial stage of his career till 6 matches
then he has gain momentum in the middle period and we can see that match it has
improved and moved in the upward direction and twice is has crossed 12 four in an
innings moreover later in his career he has maintain these number but in the end we can
see that they are dropping due to his lack of form in Asia Cup matches.

Virat Kohli

The graph of Kohli fours shows that he has also struggled in early stages of his career in
hitting boundaries but after his 8th innings he has maintained a good 4’s ratio per innings
which is more than 6 fours per innings and in the middle of the graph we can see he has
hit more than 8 fours quite a few times in an innings which is a sign of consistency in
boundary hitting moreover, in the end we can see a decrease in his boundary hitting
which is a sign of worry for a batsman of his class and he was also struggling to get back
in form to score a 100 and finally a 100 in Asia Cup after 3 years in any format was very
crucial innings for him to get back in form.

Babar average in Asia is 33 while outside Asia is 32.7. There is not a huge difference
between his averages if he plays in Asian conditions or not it does not make any
difference and the difference is less than 1.

Virat has also a minimum amount of difference in average if he plays Asian conditions or
away from Asia the difference in his average is less than 1 which means that it does not
depend where he plays he has the same average and it does not affect his performance.

Babar Azam has scored 1713 runs while batting 1st in 51 innings at an average of 33.5
and has played more innings while batting 1st and scored more runs as compare to when
he came to bat while chasing. Babar has scored 1348 runs at an average of 35 while
chasing which is greater than his average while batting first.

Virat Kohli Bat 1st and 2nd Runs scored

Virat Kohli has scored 1749 runs while batting 1st at an average of 31 and has played
more innings while batting 1st but he has scored more runs while chasing which is quite
interesting because while bat 2nd Virat has scored 1829 runs in 43 innings at an average of
42.5 which shows his class while chasing and we can conclude that he can handle
pressure and perform well while chasing.

The percentage of caught out of Babar is above 50% which means that there is more
chance of getting out from catch. Babar has been bowled 12 times, Lbw 5 times and
stumped twice in his career furthermore, he has gone not out 13 times in his entire career.

Virat dismissals

The percentage of caught out of Virat is above 70% which means that there is more
chance of getting caught out even more than Babar. Virat has been bowled 9 times, Lbw
3 times and stumped only once in his career furthermore, he has gone not out 28 times in
his entire career which is more than Babar Azam.

Babar and Virat in World Cup’s comparison in which both the players played WC
2021
The World Cup was held in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Babar Azam scored 303 runs
in 6 games at an average of 50 in t20 WC 2021 with the strike rate of 126 and was the
highest runs getter of the tournament. On the other hand, Virat scored 68 runs in 3
matches at an average of 22 he batted and in matches against Namibia and Afghanistan
he did not batted.

Virat Kohli in World Cup 2016

Virat Kohli scored 273 runs in 5 matches with the average of 55 and a healthy Strike rate
of 146. His highest runs were 89* against West Indies in Semifinal. He was declared Man
of the tournament in 2016 World Cup. This World Cup was held in India.
