Reviewing Your Document
The review tab contains tools for editing and revising your content with sections on proofing,
language, comments,
tracking, and
changes.
Proofing:
• Check
Document: MW has a
built-in editor that
checks for spelling and
grammar errors. Content
that MW labels as misspelled is underlined with red, while grammar errors are underlined with
green. To check all of the errors that MW identified in your document, click ‘Check Document’.
This will open the Editor panel. Click on ‘Spelling’, ‘Grammar’, or ‘Conciseness’ to view the errors
and recommendations for correcting them
Language
• Translate: The MW translate function allows you to translate a section of your document or
to create a translated copy of your document. Select the drop-down menu and choose the
appropriate option. This will open the Translator panel, where you can enter the language to
translate to/from.
• Language: The default proofing language for MW is English (United States). This can be
changed by going to the drop-down Language menu and selecting ‘Set Proofing Language…’. You
can also change the display language for the MW application by going to the drop-down Language
menu and selecting ‘Language Preferences…’
Comments
Changes
The changes section works with the tracking section for revising your content. Use the ‘Accept’
or ‘Reject’ buttons to accept or reject changes that have been made using ‘Track Changes’.
Choosing ‘Accept’ automatically integrates the changes into your document, 30 while choosing
‘Reject’ will revert your content to what it was before the changes. Use the ‘Previous’ or
‘Next’buttons to jump between tracked changes. You can also accept or reject all changes at once
by clicking the respective drop-down menus and selecting ‘Accept/Reject All Changes’

To do this Press
Open a document. Ctrl+O
Create a new document. Ctrl+N
Save the document. Ctrl+S
Close the document. Ctrl+W
Cut the selected content to Ctrl+X
the Clipboard.
Copy the selected content to Ctrl+C
the Clipboard.
Paste the contents of the Ctrl+V
Clipboard.
Select all document content. Ctrl+A
Apply bold formatting to Ctrl+B
text.
Apply italic formatting to Ctrl+I
text.
Apply underline formatting Ctrl+U
to text.
Decrease the font size by 1 Ctrl+Left bracket ([)
point.
Increase the font size by 1 Ctrl+Right bracket (])
point.
Center the text. Ctrl+E
Align the text to the left. Ctrl+L
Align the text to the right. Ctrl+R
Cancel a command. Esc
Undo the previous action. Ctrl+Z
Redo the previous action, if Ctrl+Y
possible.
Adjust the zoom Alt+W, Q, then use the Tab key in the Zoom dialog
magnification. box to go to the value you want.
Split the document window. Ctrl+Alt+S
Remove the document Alt+Shift+C or Ctrl+Alt+S
window split.

Move the cursor to the end of the current line. End
Move the cursor to the beginning the current line. Home
Move the cursor to the top of the screen. Ctrl+Alt+Page up
Move the cursor to the bottom of the screen. Ctrl+Alt+Page down
Move the cursor by scrolling the document view up by Page up
one screen.
Move the cursor by scrolling the document view down Page down
by one screen.
Move the cursor to the top of the next page. Ctrl+Page down
Move the cursor to the top of the previous page. Ctrl+Page up
Move the cursor to the end of the document. Ctrl+End
Move the cursor to the beginning of the document. Ctrl+Home
Move the cursor to the location of the previous Shift+F5
revision.
Move the cursor to the location of the last revision Shift+F5, immediately
made before the document was last closed. after opening the
document.
Cycle through floating shapes, such as text boxes or Ctrl+Alt+5, and then the
images. Tab key repeatedly
Exit the floating shape navigation and return to the Esc
normal navigation.
Display the Navigation task pane, to search within the Ctrl+F
document content.
Display the Go To dialog box, to navigate to a specific Ctrl+G
page, bookmark, footnote, table, comment, graphic, or
other location.

Select the word to the left. Ctrl+Shift+Left arrow key
Select the word to the right. Ctrl+Shift+Right arrow
key
Select from the current position to the beginning of the Shift+Home
current line.
Select from the current position to the end of the current Shift+End
line.
Select from the current position to the beginning of the Ctrl+Shift+Up arrow key
current paragraph.
Select from the current position to the end of the current Ctrl+Shift+Down arrow
paragraph. key
Select from the current position to the top of the screen. Shift+Page up
Select from the current position to the bottom of the Shift+Page down
screen.
Select from the current position to the beginning of the Ctrl+Shift+Home
document.
Select from the current position to the end of the Ctrl+Shift+End
document.
Select from the current position to the bottom of the Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Page
