Devotional Reflection
Insecurity affects a large number of people. They are surrounded by gorgeous, talented people, yet they
are unable to place themselves on the same level. They are unable to love or see themselves in the
same way that God does. When someone compliments them, they immediately dismiss it with a self-
depreciating remark. Putting your faith in what others think of you or in things that will not last is the
quickest way to sink in a sea of insecurity. Even if you work hard and achieve the achievement that you
thought was so vital to you, there is never enough joy or satisfaction. You'll always be yearning for more,
for something larger or greater.
You must spend time with Jesus if you truly want to know Him as your "Best Friend." You won't become
close to Him just by talking to Him every now and then when you need something. To survive, all
partnerships necessitate communication. You won't be relevant in someone's life if you simply talk to
them once in a while. When things go bad or there's exciting news to share, you won't be the first
person they think of, and that's because you're not close! Only intimate friends spend time together,
talk, and share details of their lives, and God is no exception.
Compassion is abundant in parents who love their children. If their child falls, they console them by
providing not only first aid but also soothing embraces. If a friend or family member calls with bad news,
you respond quickly with condolences, declarations of affection, assurances of how much you care, and
offers of assistance. These are natural human reactions to persons you care about. “Love” is the crucial
word here. God loves you more than anybody else could ever love you, and He is patient, kind, loving,
and compassionate with you. God wants you to run to Him first when you're having a terrible day or
confronting a crisis! He is the only one who can console you, repair you, and give you the strength that
you need.
When you wake up in the morning, the first thing you should thank God for is that you have opened
your eyes to another day of life. Nobody can guarantee tomorrow, and there is no guarantee that you
will wake up when you go to bed at night. Before going to bed, pray to God, asking Him to forgive you
for whatever sins you've committed and to devote your heart and life to Him. Tell Him how much you
adore Him. Then, when you wake up in the morning, say to Jesus, "Thank You, Jesus, for another day of
life, another day to serve You and worship You for being my magnificent Lord and Savior." You'll be
shocked how much easier your day will go if you start with prayer, and how much better you'll sleep at
night if you pray before going to bed. Prayer is the one thing that keeps you linked to God; without it,
you'll feel disconnected and disoriented. Remember that prayer is a dialogue with God, and like any
other kind of communication, one person cannot do all the talking. Listening is also crucial because it is
the first step in prayer. God communicates to you in the solitude of your heart, and you receive
guidance, direction, and the answers you seek through God's Holy Spirit.
