CINDERELLA

Good day everyone. Do you believe that dreams do come true? Let us try to find out in the story
that I am going to tell you today. Are you ready to listen?
The title of my story is Cinderella.

Once upon a time there was a kind and beautiful girl named Cinderella. She lived with her cruel
stepmother and stepsisters where she was treated as a servant and spent her days cleaning,
tidying and waiting on them hand and foot.

Despite their cruelty, Cinderella would always remember her mother’s words: “Have courage
and be kind”

One day, a messenger delivered an invitation to a royal ball. All unmarried maidens in the
kingdom were invited. The King wanted to find a wife for his son.

“That means I can go too!” said Cinderella.

“You? yelled the stepmother. “Who said you were going to the ball?”

That evening, as her stepmother and stepsisters were just about to leave for the ball, Cinderella
went to her room. A surprise was waiting for her. The birds and mice had fixed her mother’s old
dress using ribbons and beads.

Cinderella was overjoyed. She thanked her friends and ran downstairs. When her stepsisters saw
the gown and how beautiful Cinderella looked in it, they were furious.

“That’s my sash!” Anastasia yelled as she ripped Cinderella’s skirt.

“They’re my beads!” Drizella cried as she pulled them from her stepsister’s neck.

Cinderella’s dress was in tatters. She ran away to the garden to cry.

Suddenly, her fairy godmother appeared. With a wave of her wand, she turned a pumpkin into an
elegant coach. Cinderella could now go to the ball, but her dress was still ruined. “Bibbidi –
bobbidi –boo!” said the Fairy Godmother, waving her wand again.

Cindrella was now wearing a beautiful gown and sparkling glass slippers.

“ It’s like a dream… a wonderful dream come true!” Cinderella exclaimed.

“You must understand, my dear,” the Fairy Godmother said, “on the stroke of twelve, the spell
will be broken. And everything will be as it was before.”

At the ball. Prince Charming couldn’t take his eyes off Cinderella. The orchestra played, and the
Prince began to dance with the wonderful girl whose name he still didn’t know. For Cinderella,
the night was a dream come true.

Before too long, the clock began to strike midnight. “Goodbye! Cinderella said, hurrying away.
“Come back! called the Prince. As Cinderella fled, one of her glass slippers came off.

The Prince sent the Grand Duke to find the girl who fit the glass slipper.

Lady Tremaine locked Cinderella in the attic. She wanted one of her daughters to marry the
Prince, not her stepdaughter.

When the Grand Duke arrived, “Quick! yelled the stepmother. “Get ready! One of you must be
the one to fit your foot in that slipper no matter what!” Anastacia and Drizella tried on the glass
slipper, but their feet were too big.

The Grand Duke was just about to leave when Cinderella rushed down the stairs. “Wait!” she
called. Cinderella’s mouse friends freed her.
Then Lady Tremaine tripped the Grand Duke, and the glass slipper shattered. Luckily, Cinderella
had the matching slipper. She reached into her apron pocket and pulled it out. The slipper was a
perfect fit!

The Grand Duke took Cinderella to the castle, where she married the Prince. And they lived
happily ever after.

The end

Cinderella teaches the morals of kindness towards all, forgiving others for doing wrong and
never letting bad things ruin your heart.

Thank you all for listening…. Have a good day….
