Hong Kong Primary Students Love Swimming


Hong Kong Youth Centre did a research recently. 30 primary schools joined the research
and conducted more than 3000 surveys.

The graph shows the result of the survey that which sport Hong Kong students like best.
The finding illustrated that 60% of the interviewees like swimming (Figure 1). They think
that swimming is a good exercise because they can burn fat without sweating. The students
also like swimming with their parents and friends in the pool of the club house. Some of
them even go swimming every day.

20% of the interviewed students like playing football. They usually like to play with their
classmates and neighbours. Most of them play football once a week. There are only 5%
of the students like playing baseball. Some of them play baseball five times a week. They
often play with their friends.

Doctor Chan of ABC Health Centre stated that regular exercise is good for our health. He
encouraged the students to do exercise for at least 30 minutes, five days a week. It does
not only improve your health but also helps to relieve stress.
