Original articles should be no more than 4,000 words (excluding abstract, references, figure or

table legends)

<Brief report> The total manuscript length should not exceed 1,200 words, excluding references

and abstract.

<Short communication> The total manuscript length should not exceed 1,500 words, excluding

references and abstract.

INTRODUCTION

It is recommended that the introduction includes ‘general and specific background’,

‘debating issue’, and ‘specific purpose of this study’.

METHODS

Describe materials and methods under subtitles.

Give full information of instruments or reagents including manufacturers, city, and country.

Introduce methods of statistics.

If there are statistics and ethics issues in this study, they should be described as separate

paragraphs at the end of this section.

Ethics statement

(Example for clinical study)

The present study protocol was reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board of

PPP National University College of Medicine (approval No. 2020001). Informed consent was

submitted by all subjects when they were enrolled.
