Horse Boarding Contract 2022


1) Boarding services shall be provided at Graham’s Rock Ridge Ranch (the Ranch) on a month-to-month
basis commencing on _________. Services may be terminated by either party with two weeks written
notice to the other party.
2) Boarder agrees that the Ranch shall not be liable for any disease, accident, sickness or death to
boarder, boarder’s guests, and boarder’s horse at the Ranch. Boarder will likewise not be liable for any
disease, accident, sickness, or death to any horses at the Ranch.
3) Boarder agrees that the Ranch may procure the services of a veterinarian, as it deems necessary, for
emergency care only, at boarder’s expense. Boarder may specify a veterinarian of their choice to be
called first at the time of signing this contract. If requested veterinarian is not available, then the Ranch
reserves the right to call an available equine veterinarian (such as Interstate Vet, Centuria). The Ranch
will always attempt to notify boarder before any services are rendered.
4) Boarder shall provide to the Ranch proof of the horse(s) up-to-date tetanus, influenza, and sleeping
sickness vaccinations before the horse(s) will be admitted onto the Ranch. Thereafter, boarder shall
provide proof of updated influenza vaccinations annually, and of updated tetanus and sleeping
sickness vaccinations annually.
5) No horse may be brought to the Ranch without the permission of David Graham.
6) Payment schedule.
a. Board will be due on the first day of every month electronic bill pay format to Graham’s Rock
Ridge Ranch, LLC. Remit to Sterling Bank, 2547 State Road 35, Luck, WI 54853.
b. Current board is $250 per month per horse or $75 per week per horse or $15 per day per horse,
depending on the length of stay.
c. If the payment is not received by the Ranch by the seventh day of the month, a $50 late fee is
assessed per week and shall accrue from the first day of the month.
d. If the payment including late fees are not paid within 45 days of receiving invoice, this contract
will be terminated. The boarder will then be dismissed from the property.
e. If the horse is not removed and boarding dues and fees are not paid in full after 90 days, the
horse and tack will become the property of the Ranch in accordance with Wisconsin Statues
Actions and Proceedings chapter 779.
7) Any dangerous behavior or actions that are deemed careless or reckless by David Graham may result in
the dismissal of the boarder and the horse must be removed from the ranch per written notice from
David Graham.
8) The Ranch is termed as “open pasture” boarding. Water and hay will be provided 24/7 on the
premises. The stalls are available as needed and not to be used as a permanent stall for any horse. It is
the boarder’s responsibility to clean the stall after use.
9) It is the responsibility of the boarder to carry their own insurance for themselves and for their horse.
10) Bedding is not provided by the Ranch.
11) The indoor arena is to be used for training only. The indoor arena is not to be used for graining or
feeding. No horse will be left unattended in the indoor arena.
12) Clean stalls, indoor arena, tack room, and walkway after use.
