New and especially noteworthy features of the LS3-UNICONTROL

Flexibility

The construction of the control is effected with utmost flexibility in view of application and
customer-specific solutions.

User-programmable input and output functions

The control includes the option of setting and freely programming input and output
functions of additional I/O modules. Simple switching tasks can thus be easily
implemented at a later time.

Simplified construction of the control

Construction of a lift system is simplified because different functions can be flexibly

assigned to the input and output modules of the control. There is no strict assignation
and later modifications are possible.

Simplified installation

A simple bus and cabling system simplifies control installation.

Teleservice support

TAW's Teleservice device can be used. This ensures compatibility with the service centre
in Germany.

Improved control of the brake magnets with integrated failure monitoring

The control circuit of the brake magnets has been improved and now offers the possibility
of recognizing and indicating faults, such as short circuits and magnet failures.

Self-diagnosis of the control

The control has the option of carrying out a self-diagnosis of some important functions.

Fail-safe bus system (CAN)

A fail-safe bus system is the prerequisite for safe functioning of the control.

Comfortable operation via LCD and keyboard

An LC-Display and a keyboard at the control allow for easy configuration and operation of
the control. Commands, error messages and status displays are decoded to make them
easy to read and understand.

Configuration via laptop and modem

Configuring and operating the control is possible with a laptop (PC) directly as well as via
modem and public telephone from a remote point.

Real-time clock

The control has a built-in real-time clock that allows, among other things, to save the
exact time of a failure or time-sensitive functions of the control.

Software update possible via interface

The programme memory of the control is designed as FLASH-ROM. It allows modifying

the control software, without changing the hardware, via an interface and therefore also
via a modem.

Statistical functions

The control is able to save operating data and thus allows statistical analysis of control
parameters, such as average waiting time at stops, load of the lift, and number of travels
to specified stops.

SOFTWARE DETAILS

Programming in C

Flexible concept

Virtual inputs and outputs

All input and output functions of the LS3 are implemented out by a system of virtual inputs
and outputs.
This system makes it possible to assign all functions to any input and output of the control.
This system also allows programming of user-defined input and output functions.
The following hardware signals can be virtual inputs:

All inputs of the main board, 8 x 24VDC and 8 x 230VAC,

all inputs of the CAN bus modules.

The following hardware signals can be virtual outputs:

All outputs of the main board, 8 x 24VDC and (currently) 7 x relay contact 10A 400VAC,
all outputs of the CAN bus modules

• Statistical functions

• Extended self-test during operation

Automatic travel programmes for test drive

Automatic revival

Software update via interface, modem

Configuration of field bus devices

Comfortable communication options

- via keyboard at the main board (see chapter 06. Operating the control)

- or via interfaces

Communication of the LS3 with the PC system for visualization and configuration is
implemented out via an RS232 or CAN Bus interface.

When using the CAN bus interface, communication is possible from any point in the
decentralized control system.

Information about the present operating status can be obtained directly from the CAN bus
data packages and from additional control commands.
From here it is also possible for the maintenance system (PC) to send corresponding CAN
bus commands and directly influence the hardware, such as input/output modules, or display
the corresponding data.
The commands and data for the individual controls are forwarded via the group bus (RS 485).

If communication is effected through the RS232 interface, commands and data are
transferred by means of a binary protocol.
Information to the individual controls is forwarded to the addressed control via the group bus.

The PC is connected to the serial interface of a control; messages from other controls are
forwarded to this control via the group bus and then on to this serial interface.

All data required for ongoing visualization and displaying the control status are forwarded by
the LS3 without request. This is necessary in order to avoid the continual transference of
unnecessary data and to keep the data rate low. The option of receiving the relevant data at
request is yet to be implemented.

1. Control modes

1.1 Calling system (non collective)

For this type of control a button for calling the lift is provided at each stop. The control accepts only
one hall or car command which is proceeded without intermediate stop. No additional commands are
accepted. The car only becomes available to the next passenger after this command has been carried
out. Lift availability is indicated at all stops on all levels by an 'occupied' display.

1.2 Direction-independant collective control

For this type of control one button for calling the lift is provided at each stop. The control
accepts and stores all car and hall commands and acknowledges them by means of an
illuminated command button. The travel direction selected by the control is interrupted at each
stop for entering or exiting the lift. A fully loaded car does not respond to hall commands. The
subsequent direction of travel pre-selected by the control is signalled by a diretive hall lantern.

1.3 Full collective control (up and down)

With this control each stop, with exception of the end stops, has two buttons for selecting
either "up" or "down". The control accepts and stores all car and hall commands and
acknowledges them by means of an illuminated command button. The trip selected by the
control is interrupted at all stops for which there exists a car command. The lift only stops for
hall commands when the direction selected corresponds to the existing direction. A fully
loaded car does not respond to hall commands. The subsequent direction of travel pre-
selected by the control is signalled by a diretive hall lantern.

2. Door types:
• Three-phase current door
• Regulated door drives
• Door drives without limit switch
• Special door drives

Door functions:
Automatic doors normally open when levelled position is reached or when the hall call button
is activated at the stop that the car is at present. After expiry of a set hold-open time the doors
are closed if no door-open condition exists (e.g. light barrier interrupted, door-open key
activated etc.).

If the car does not move when door is closed and a travel command is given, the door is
opened and closed several times in order to correct possible door errors. If the door circuit still
does not close, all existing travel commands are deleted and the control waits for new
command entries.

2. Control functions 1 / 10 F:/TBE/LS3_unicontrol/LS3_Ordner_englisch.pdf
A ThyssenKrupp
Elevator ThyssenKrupp Aufzugswerk Austria
Company
LS-3uni[control] - Manual

The following optional functions can be set:

• Closing door with car command for different stop
• Opening door with car command for same stop
• Loading control with door-open key (reset by door-close key or car command or on expiry
of adjustable parking time 1-11 minutes). Extension of loading time by interrupting door
light barriers.
• Main stop with different door keep-open time electric hold door closed during travel.
• Keeping door drive with limit switch active
• Not reversing door with command key when command is active
• Opening door at precise levelled position
2.1 Advanced door opening
For this option the automatic doors are already being opened while entering the door zone of
the target stop, while the door and lock circuit for the duration of moving in is bridged by
means of a 2-channel safety switch system.
2.2 Selective door control
For this option the commands for the main and second door are processed separately. Only the door
for which the command key was activated opens.
An additional option allows for selection of only specific stops.

2.3 Door disable at selective door control

When calls are active for this option, the main door is opened first and the second door opens
only after the main door has closed and vice versa. This option is ignored when the fireman’s
control is activated.
3. Re-levelling with open door
• Always installed on hydraulic lifts.
• With cable lifts available as an option.
With this function the position of the car is continuously corrected. When the car leaves the precise
level position (e.g. through cable expansion during loading) the drive is adjusted in the corresponding
direction. The door and lock circuit for the duration of re-levelling is bridged by a 2-channel safety
switch system.

4. Short distance travel calculator

Definition:
At short travel the distance between stops is smaller than double the delaying distance and
larger than the single delaying distance of the system, i.e. the lift does not reach the rated
speed when travelling between these stops.
To attain optimum travel comfort between these short distances there is the option for traction
lifts of having short travel directly acknowledged and optimized by the controller.
5. Near stops
Definition:
For a near stop the distance between stops is smaller than the single delaying distance of the system,
i.e. the delaying point for this stop lies before the level position of the previous stop. For regulated
traction and hydraulic lifts travel is possible with an intermediate speed.

6. Parking command
For this option the car is sent to a pre-programmed park stop if nor further commands are
active. Two further park stops can be selected and separate times set via the external inputs.

TBE / BG 09.02.2005
2. Control functions 2 / 10 F:/TBE/LS3_unicontrol/LS3_Ordner_englisch.pdf
A ThyssenKrupp
Elevator ThyssenKrupp Aufzugswerk Austria
Company
LS-3uni[control] - Manual

For hydraulic lifts the park stop is always the bottom stop.
6.1 Parking via group calls
Allocation of parking stops is possible via group.
7. Overload equipment
When the overload switch has been activated the car does not move and automatic doors
won’t be closed. The overload state is indicated in the car by means of an optical and audible
signal. Travel is only initiated after the overload status has been corrected.
8. Full-load equipment
When the full-load switch is activated there is no further response to hall calls, but they remain
stored. Input of additional hall calls is still possible. The automatic door remains open when
no car calls are active. After the full-load status has been corrected the hall calls continue to
be processed as normal.
9. Minimum load equipment
When the minimum load switch is activated, only a maximum of two car commands are
accepted during collective control; if more than 2 car commands are entered the previously
entered car commands are cancelled. When a previously full car is signalled as being empty
and more than 2 car commands are active, all car commands are cancelled.
10. Empty load
Is used for penthouse and apartment controls. Cars are monitored for being empty.
11. Motor temperature monitoring
Motor temperature is recorded and evaluated by the control via a PTC in the motor. At excessive
temperature travel in progress is completed and then the lift is shut down until the motor has again
reached operating temperature. During inspection or recall control shutdown occurs immediately.

12. Machine room, temperature monitoring

Similar to point 11.

13. Run time monitoring

The control monitors whether the car moves when the travel contactor is activated. Three
cases are monitored:
• Time for leaving level position zone
• Travel time from floor to floor
• Time during re-levelling
When one of these programmable times is exceeded the lift is immediately shut down.
Monitoring can only be reset by switching the control on and off.
14. Inspection and recall control
Inspection and recall control permits travel from the control cabinet and the car roof, the
standard control is disabled in this case. For recall control the safety circuit switches are
bridged in order to permit travel from the limit switch. The door and locking circuit is not
deactivated under any circumstances.
15. Door inspection
Automatic doors can be opened and closed by using the UP/DOWN inspection keys when:
• inspection is activated

and
• the safety circuit input to the main board is open (additional switch on the inspection unit).
16. Saving of emergency stop key or light barrier protection at revolving doors
When the emergency stop key or the light barrier is activated, the lift is immediately shut
down. The signal is stored, no further travel can be initiated, the locking magnet remains
activated (only Austria) and a display in the car is activated. Resetting the memory circuit is
possible only by means of a new car command, opening and closing a shaft door or switching
the control on and off. During re-levelling the circuit is inactive.
17. Saving of emergency stop switch activation at the top on hydraulic lifts
By activating the top limit switch the lift is immediately shut down. The signal is stored and no
further travel can be initiated. If the car creeps downward out of the limit switch due to
leakages in the hydraulic system, automatic travel to the bottom stop is initiated and the lift is
shut down there; re-levelling remains active. The memory circuit can only be reset by
switching the control on and off.
18. Out-of-order display
This display is switched on during one of the following conditions:
• Safety circuit is interrupted
• Motor temperature monitoring has responded
• Run-time monitoring has responded
• Limit switch memory has responded
• Emergency power evacuation is active
• Adjustment travel (Teach in)
• Inspection or recall control is active
• Hall calls switched off
• Control and light switch-off
19. Collective error message
This display is switched on during one of the following conditions:
• Safety circuit is interrupted
• Motor temperature monitoring has responded
• Run-time monitoring has responded
• Emergency limit switch memory has responded
• Emergency power evacuation is active
20. Fireman’s control (basic function)
After activating the fire brigade switch at the fire brigade stop:
a) Car leaves fireman’s stop:
• Car continues to travel to the next stop, the door is not opened - except at fire brigade
stop!
• Hall and car calls are disabled.
• Erasing of all hall and car calls.
b) Car rests or moves in the direction of fireman’s stop:
• All active commands are deleted, hall and car commands are blocked.

• Devices for reversing automatic doors are disabled. The light barriers on door-less cars are
disabled.
• The car travels to fireman’s stop without intermediate stop. As long as fireman’s switch
remains active the car remains at the fire brigade stop with door open!
The car control can only be operated with the fireman’s key in the car.
Only a single car command is carried out, i.e. at several car commands the call entered first
or the command selected first in the direction of travel is carried out, then any existing car call
are deleted. Wrongly entered car commands can be deleted by switching the key switch on
and off. As long as the key switch is activated in the car, car commands can be carried out
one by one.
Resetting to normal operation is possible only by deactivating the fireman’s switch at the fire
brigade stop and in the car.
Design of fireman’s switch at the fireman’s stop:
• Key switch with latch in position OFF and ON, removable in both positions with switch
position clearly marked (e.g. light display). Labelling with FIRE BRIGADE.
• Toggle switch below glass with clearly marked switch position (disadvantage: Switch
position can be changed by unauthorized persons). Labelling with FIRE BRIGADE.
Design of fireman’s switch in car:
Key switch with latch in position OFF and ON, removable only in OFF position.
Design of fireman’s control for groups:
After activating the fire brigade switch at the fire brigade stop all lifts in the group travel to the
fireman’s stop and remain blocked with the door open, as previously described. Several lifts
in the group may be used as fireman’s lift (key switch in car required).
Fireman’s control priority:
The fireman’s control has the highest priority.

Exception:
Shutdown through emergency power evacuation when the function of the system is no longer
guaranteed in emergency power mode.

When designed as security lift additional standards are to be observed.

For the fire brigade control the following functions for specific countries deviating from the
basic function have been included:
• Australia
• England
• The Netherlands
• Norway
• Russia
• Sweden
• Switzerland
• China

21. Fire service control

After activating the fire service switch:
a) Car leaves fire service stop:
• Car continues to travel to the next stop, the door is not opened - except at fire service stop!
• Hall and car calls are disabled.
b) Car rests or moves in the direction of fire service stop:
• All active commands are deleted, hall and car commands are blocked.
• Devices for reversing automatic doors are disabled. The light barriers on door-less cars are
disabled.
• The car travels to fire service stop without intermediate stop.
• As long as fire service switch remains active the car remains at the fire emergency stop
with door open!
Operating the car control is not possible.
Design of fire service switch:
• Key switch with latch in position OFF and ON, removable in both positions with switch
position clearly marked (e.g. indicator). Must not be labelled FIRE BRIGADE!
• Toggle switch below glass with clearly marked switch position (disadvantage: Switch
position can be changed by unauthorized persons). Must not be labelled FIRE BRIGADE!
• Automatic message from fire detector system – signalization in hall cassette is
recommended.
Design of fire service control for groups:
After activating the fire emergency switch at the fire emergency stop all lifts in the group travel
to the fire emergency stop and remain blocked with the door open, as previously described.
Fire service control priority:
The fire emergency control has the highest priority.
The fire brigade or fire emergency control can also be activated and deactivated via
inputs for setting and resetting.

22. Fire alarm control (version 2)

Basic function such as fireman’s or fire service control; however, the stop to be travelled to is
set by fire alarm inputs.

Options:
• When the fire alarm at the fireman’s stop responds an alternative fireman’s stop can be
activated (fixed allocation).
• If no fixed allocation has been made for the alternative fire brigade stop, the next stop for
which there is no active fire alarm is activated or when the car is at a rest stop without a fire
alarm, the doors are opened and the car is shut down.

The hall fireman’s key switch as well as the car fireman’s key switch has priority over the fire
alarm control.

23. Control and light (C&L) switch-off

a) After activating the control and light shut-off switch:
• All active car commands will still be carried out.
• Car commands are blocked, hall commands are deleted and blocked.
• If the car is not yet at the shut-down stop the trip to this stop will be initiated.
b) After arrival of the car at the shut-down stop:
• Door is opened and closed
• The car light is switched off.
• When door is closed the control and the light barrier are switched off (door-open key
remains active).

Switchover to normal operation by resetting the switch.

Design of switch at shut-off stop:

• Key switch with latch in position OFF and ON, removable in both positions with switch
position clearly marked (e.g. indicator).
• Hall message such as from building administration centre, timer etc, signalization in hall
panel is necessary.

Design of group control and light shut-off:

• Each lift can be shut off individually.
• Shut-off of all lifts in the group.

Priority of control and light switch-off

After fireman’s control or fire emergency control.

For hydraulic lifts the switch-off stop is always the bottom stop.

24. Automatic light switch-off

For this option the car light is switched off after a set time when the car is in rest position and
the doors are closed.

25. Car priority control

After activating the priority switch in the car:
All hall and car commands are deleted and hall calls are blocked.
As long as the priority switch remains activated the door remains open until a car command is
carried out.
Switchover to normal operation by resetting the priority switch.
Design of car key switch:
Key switch with latch in position OFF and ON, removable only in OFF position. Signalization in
hall cassettes is recommended.
Design of group priority control:

26. Landing priority (VIP call)

After activating the priority key in landing panel:
a) Car leaves priority stop:
• Car still travels selectively to the next or the selected stop, door is opened, car display is
switched on.
• Hall and car calls are disabled.
• Erasing of all hall and car calls.
b) Car rests or moves in the direction of priority stop:
• All active commands are deleted, hall and car commands are blocked.
The car travels to priority stop without intermediate stop. The car remains at priority stop with
door open.
Operation of car control:
• With car switch key.
• Car command issue is enabled.
Resetting to normal operation:
• After a car command is carried out.
• After a settable delay time.
Design of priority switch in hall panel:
Key element with key function only removable in position OFF. Signalization in hall panel and
in car necessary.
Design of car key switch (if installed):
Key switch with latch in position OFF and ON, removable only in OFF position.
Group design:
• Each lift can be switched separately.
• Selection of lift via group control.
Priority of hall priority control:
According to priority control in car.

27. Emergency power evacuation

After message “emergency supply” (onsite message contact required):
An emergency was triggered during previous power failure, all commands deleted.
Hall and car calls are being blocked.
After emergency power supply is made available a command is issued to the evacuation stop.
After a possible correction travel the car moves to the evacuation stop and stops with door
open. Now the completed evacuation travel is signalled to other lifts included in the
emergency power evacuation operation so that they carry out their evacuation travel. Relaying
also occurs after a settable delay time if the evacuation could not be carried out for certain
reasons.
Is continued operation of the system after all evacuations for all lifts have been carried out
installed, new travel commands can be carried out, otherwise the lift remains blocked with
door open.

Switchover to normal operation is only possible by cancelling the emergency power message.
Design of emergency power message:
Onsite message contact required (closing and opening contact can be freely selected)
Design of emergency power control for groups or several lift systems:
The emergency power evacuation is carried out sequentially according to time; the sequence
is set by the joint cabling of the systems.
Onsite cabling of lifts as emergency power network:
Message lead to the first lift to be evacuated should be: YM/J 3x1.5 mm²
Connector lead between lifts: YM/J 5x1.5 mm²
Attention:
The sequence of the connecting leads determines the sequence of the evacuation!

Priority of emergency power evacuation:

The emergency power evacuation is carried out prior to all other special functions. If
continued operation of the lift system is possible during a power emergency all lift control
functions are enabled after evacuation has been carried out.
Whether a lift remains operational during a power emergency is set via wire jumpers in each
respective control.
28. Emergency creep (NSE) for hydraulic lifts
Fundamentals:
• The NSE is disabled during “normal mode”. In case of an “error” the NSE is enabled only
when the car is outside the floor (i.e. the car is not in door zone). The NSE only functions
when the safety circuit is closed, and when the door and lock contact are closed.
• The NSE can be switched off by:
- the stop switch at the car roof,
- the stop switch/key in the car,
- the maintenance switch at the car roof,
- switch at the cabinet door (only on automatic NSE).

Triggering factors:
• Power failure
• Summary error message

Function:
If one of one of the above-named errors occurs and the car is outside a door zone the NSE
can be activated via a key (bNS) in the car.

• Automatic door:
The NSE enters self-holding mode and is switched off at the level position in the next lower
stop.

• Manual door:
The NSE enters self-holding mode and is switched off at the next lower floor. The car
continues to levelled position.

Emergency creep is then disabled and further emergency creep is no longer possible.

Automatic door:
• Error through power failure:
After lowering is complete the door must be pushed open (automatic opening with 24V DC
door drive possible).
• Error through emergency stop:
After lowering is complete the door can be opened by activating the stop key / door-open
key.

Manual door:
When the stop is reached the revolving door is unlocked.

29. Testing safety light grid at manual doors

With this option the safety light grid is tested for proper function before each trip. The LS3
sends a test signal to the light grid prior to travel and checks whether the input HSP is
interrupted at the main board. If an error is recognized the LS3 is disabled. On 2-door
systems the test is carried out consecutively for the light grid at the main door and then the
second door.

By issue of a new car command or opening a landing door the memory is reset and a new
test is initiated prior to the next trip.

30. Command blockage via remote control

This function allows selected car and/or hall commands to be blocked (e.g. by timer, switch
etc).

31. Switchover to single lift at groups via remote control

This function allows a lift to be removed from the group. Then only those hall commands
which are directly connected with the affected lift are processed.

32. Operation with lift attendant

For operation with an attendant all car and hall commands are stored the same as during
normal operation. The car starts only after the attendant presses the button “Start”.
The attendant recognizes an active hall call when the respective Start button lights up. The
direction is set by the first command.
Change of direction is possible by the attendant pressing a car command for the opposite
direction and then pressing the Start button for the respective direction.
If the Start button is pressed when a command is active, the car door closes without delay
and the lift travels in the direction indicated. If the Start button is released before the door has
closed, the door reopens.
If the button “Non-stop” is activated additionally, the lift only stops in response to car
commands, all hall commands in the direction of travel are ignored but not deleted. If further
hall call should bypassed the button “Non-stop” should pressed anew.

For car priority or fireman’s operation, attendant operation is automatically switched off.
Landing priority is signalled to the attendant when the special travel indicator lights up. The
attendant only needs to start the lift since the lift will then automatically respond to the priority
call.

Menu structure

2.1 Status displays

Pressing the right arrow key ` once leads from the displayed items to the following, and
pressing the left arrow key _ once leads to the previous display. The following information is
listed in sequence:
See chapter (LS3 display)

2.2 Special functions of control status

2.2.1 TÜV (MOT) operation and inspection

In order to test the lift system and its safety installations, the functions of the floor selector
system may be influenced in these operating modes using the a, b, _ and ` keys in
combination with the key.
Procedure: In the LS3 display “technical check” mode press the right arrow key ` once. Then
the floor selector status is displayed.

The individual flags (T, B, L, C) are enabled and disabled as follows:

C: Keep the key pressed, ` key will alternate between on and off,
B: Keep the key pressed, b key will alternate between on and off,
T: Keep the key pressed, a key will alternate between on and off,
L, O: Keep the key pressed, _ key will alternate between on and off,

With the flag set, the corresponding letter is displayed; when no flag is set, the display shows
'-'. If none of these flags is set, the status of the doors is again displayed (see 2.1).

The set flags have the following functions:

C (ount): The counter pulses are ignored. At a command (call), the lift will only stop at
the corresponding end position. The delay of the drive is initiated by the
correction switch.
L (evelled): The levelled information is suppressed. The lift delays as usual but does not
stop at the levelled position. As a result, the levelled position can be passed by
at moving in speed, with the lift moving to the limit switch or the mechanical
end position, or it moves on until the runtime monitoring system will switch it
off.
O (verload): The overload function is suppressed.
B (ottom): The bottom correction switch is disabled,
T (op): the top correction switch is disabled,
the position of the lift is not corrected.
Attention!
The signals must be faded out before the floor selector switch is reached. When
changing from “technical check” mode to normal mode all flags are deleted.
If the counter pulses are suppressed at the same time (Flag C), or the standard
information from the lift is false, the lift will move on at a command or with inspection
travel, without slowing down at the final stop! This option can be used for technical
checkups, to move to the limit switch or the mechanic end position at nominal speed.

9.0 Programming with laptop and BDM module (Wiggler)

It is necessary that you read this information before using the BDM module (Wiggler).
It serves for the safety of your BDM module and ensures its proper function.

Please ensure that the following steps are adhered to!

9.1 Safety information

9.1.1 Ensure that there are no differences in potential between the 0V of your PC and
the 0V of your power socket. This should be definitely checked.
If there is a difference in potential make sure you establish a 0V connection
before plugging in the BDM module.

9.1.2 Plug in the BDM module only under zero-voltage conditions or it could sustain
damage.

Operating the BDM module and the PC via the same power circuit could helpful.

9.2 Equipment configuration

9.2.1 Connect the BDM module to the parallel socket of your computer with the
enclosed parallel cable (IEEE1284).

9.2.2 There is a possibility that it does not function with an older type IEEE1284 or a
different parallel cable.

9.2.3 Ensure that you have correctly installed your parallel port. This must be done
with the Bios Setup while the computer boots.

If you are using a BDM module, you must select operating mode SPP (or AT
compatible).

9.2.4 Ensure that no other software uses your parallel port.

9.2.5 Check if the software you are using is configured for a BDM module.

General instructions
For the function of the reference switch all CAN modules must be installed and
recognized by the control. (After switching on the control the CAN module counter
starts counting. The number reached must correspond to the E-documents)
The reference switch must not lie in the levelled zone and must be installed with the
cable coming out from the bottom of the switch.
The delay points must not lie in levelled zone (near stop)
The parameter use re-levelling and braking distance re-levelling must be smaller than
re-levelled. Braking distance UP/DOWN)
When calibrating the reference switch the following procedure applies.
Check if the parameter reference point is 0.
If not set value to 0 and start anew.
Check if pulses/mm have been correctly entered.
Level cabin at first stop (+/- 10mm).
Then switch control off and on (this deletes all counters).
In the control display “Normal mode” press key → once. Now the copying menu
is visible. In line 4 the copying counter is now displayed
[H: +0 / +0mm]
Travel up across the reference switch with retrieve or inspection.
When travelling across the reference switch “R” is displayed in the control. The
left counter must become positive and increase in the count. Otherwise restart the
pulse generator inv. After travelling across the reference switch the following is
displayed.

[pos:01 n:05 l:01 ]

[- f-------R stop ]
[Shut-down ]
[H:+ +4523 / +?mm]

Stop after reaching the reference switch. Then store the value in parameter\pulse
generator copying \ reference point with “↵ ↵“.
(Estimate if the height of the reference point should be correct).

To set the braking distance the copying menu is required. Travel to a stop to the
middle from the bottom and check if the right value reaches 0 (+/-1) in line 4. If the
number is negative the braking distance is too long. (In menu pulse generator
copying reduce the UP braking distance, or increase in the other case. [H:+ +4523
/ +0mm]
Repeat the same for down direction.

Take care that after delaying the car will still creep for 1 second. Otherwise level
position will be passed.
For further settings follow the same procedure as in the case of magnet switch
copying. (However, the parameters mentioned above must be modified).

Near stop (distance between stops) < delaying distance Vnom)

When there is a near stop between stops 1 and 2 carry out the following settings.

In menu parameter\stop parameter\speed near stop the speed at the lower stop,
in this case stop 1, is to be modified to intermediate speed 1 or 2.

In the menu the parameter\pulse generator copying\delay distance Vzw1(2) UP

(DOWN) is to be adjusted accordingly. (Delay distance Vzw1=distance between
stops / 2 – 200mm)
In menu parameter\controller parameter\intermediate speed 1 (2) the speed is to
be selected so that no short travel but 1 sec. moving in remains. (This parameter
is only effective without a lift group).
It should be ensured that the delay point Vnom does not lie in levelled position of
the near stop.
