Content of Main Report
OVERVIEW OF ORGANISATION
Your report should include a relevant history of the organization by including information
like the date it was founded, the business’s purpose or mission statement, the various
sections/units and the types of tasks the company completes daily, industry sector/status
(manufacturing, service or non-governmental organization), product and services offered
and any other relevant details.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
7
2.2.2 Task/Activity/Duty Two
[Note: For each activity or duty performed, describe how the activity(ies) relate to your
course/programme. Then, describe the benefits (skills) gained by providing specific
experiences within the organization that contributed to your development.]
CONCLUSION
This is the concluding chapter of the report. It should cover the challenges encountered
during the internship, mitigation measures, achievement and lessons learnt, conclusion and
recommendations.
3.1 Challenges
This section provides you with the opportunity to describe the challenges faced during the
internship. This can easily be identified in the course of performing your daily routine and
should include information relating to the work assigned to you and not your personal issues
or problems you have with your supervisor or the organization.
3.4 Conclusion
Add a brief conclusion about your internship experience by explaining or summarizing your
report based on the exposure you have during the internship and why you think the internship
programme is valuable to your career development.

3.5 Recommendations
It is useful to consider the skills or experiences that you would still like to develop and any
other things you wish could be done differently either by the organization or your university
in order to improve upon the internship programme. For example, insight into things you
want to do or expected to be done in your next attachment and ways the organization, the
university or stakeholders can contribute to its actualization.
