Content MONDAY

Productivity tools
 Can be a freeware or shareware.
 Freeware – copyrighted, which can be used for free and for an
unlimited time
 Shareware – commercial software that is copyrighted, which can be
copied for trial but needs to be purchased for continued use.
 A most popular productivity suite is the Microsoft Office developed by
Microsoft.
o Microsoft Office includes the following:
o Word processing
o Electronic spreadsheet
o Presentation software
o Data base
o Desktop publishing program.

Microsoft office Applications


1. MS Word – one of the software of the Microsoft Office 2013 suit. It offers a
set of tools that is advance compared to its previous versions. The advance
techniques are:
Hyperlinks
Macros
Mail merge
2. MS PowerPoint allows you to create slide show presentations wherein you
can format the texts and images, adding also animations and other
multimedia components interactively.
3. MS Excel – used to simulate a paper worksheet. It is composed of cells that
are represented in rows and columns designed to perform basic arithmetic
operations.

Advanced techniques using ms word


1. Hyperlink – a link that will direct you to another page or part of the
same document.
o It can be a word, a phrase, a symbol or image, a different
element in the document, another hypertext document, a file, or
a script.

2. Mail Merge - a useful tool that allows you to quickly produce and send
information, newsletter, resumes or brochures to many people.

Advance techniques using ms Powerpoint:


1. Slide animation - Is a moving computer graphic effect that can be added to
the text, object, or the entire slide itself
2. Slide transitions - Control how your presentation moves from slide to slide

3. Action button - Allows you to play sounds, animate or run a program

I will also demonstrate how to use ms excel in your thesis writing. I will teach you
how to tally your score and how megastat can be used to get the result of your
research so please attend our online class.

The next week is allotted for tutorial of mega stat and stat tester application as a
preparation for your research subject. I teach you how to get result of your tally
using the said applications and interpret them.

Assessment Task #2 ( Independent learning 2 – Thursday)


A. Directions: Let us make the day of our parents special. For this activity, create a
10 slides powerpoint presentation that contains your messages for your
parents. Use advanced techniques. Present your powerpoint presentation and
take a video while you are presenting. Submit the copy of your ppt and video in
our google classroom.

B. Download megastat and install it on your computer. If you are using cellphone,
download Stats Tester.

Assessment Task #3 ( Independent learning 3 – Saturday)


Directions; Create a table with 11 columns. First column will be number of
respondent and the remaining columns will be the questions. Please follow the
following.

a. 10 respondents label it 1-10


b. The 2nd – 6th columns are the 5 questions for the first variable; 7 th – 11th
columns are questions for the second variable.
c. Use scale 1 – 5 for the given questions.
d. Get the mean, significant relationship.
