Hello Kids! How are you today? Are you ready to take another reading
practice? If yes, come with me.
At the end of this activity, you will learn to read words, phrases, and sentences
with initial consonant blends /sl/ and /sm/.
In order for you to read words with initial consonant blends sl and /sm/, you
must blend the sounds of the two consonants together to form one sound.
Remember, read the sounds left-to-right.
Follow my lips as we are going to give the sound of consonant blends sl- and
sm-. First, /sl/ sound is made by putting the teeth together giving the sound of
ssss and bringing your tongue to touch the upper part of your mouth giving the
sound /luh/

For the /sm/ sound, it is made by putting the teeth together giving the sound of
