(b) The mean of six numbers is 43. Three of the numbers are 32,30 and 42.The remaining three numbers
are a ,2a and 3a.
(i) What is the sum of the six numbers? [2]
(ii) Find the value of a. [2]
(c) Two similar glasses are of heights 6 cm and 9 cm .If the volume of the second glass is 54 cm 3
,find the volume of the first glass. [2]
(d) ∆ ABC is right angled at B and D is a point on BC .If AD=18 cm ,BD=9 cm and CD=4
cm,find AC. [3]
