Writing – By the end of phase E, students write a variety of fiction and non-
Presenting fiction texts, through guided activities, showing an awareness of
purpose and audience. They plan, write, review and redraft a range of
text types with some evidence of self-correction strategies, including
punctuation and capitalization. They express ideas and use common/
daily vocabulary and verbs in their writing. They present information
using different modes of presentation to suit different audiences and to
achieve different purposes, in print and digital forms.

2. Teacher asks one of the students to lead a prayer.
3. Teacher checks students’ attendance.
4. Teacher asks students’ help to prepare media or tools
that will be used.
5. Teacher informs the material that will be discussed,
material coverage, learning objective, and how they
will be working through the lesson briefly.

Main 80 minutes
BKoF (35 minutes)
1. Teacher asks students about the previous material of
Narrative Text
2. Teacher asks students about the generic structure and
linguistic features of Narrative Text
3. Teacher helps students to answer by triggering some
events in Narrative Text last week
4. Teacher appreciates students answers by giving them
verbal reinforcement
5. Teacher asks students about writing mechanics such
as punctuation and capitalization
6. Teacher shows a PowerPoint that contains examples
of incorrect use of punctuation and capitalization
7. Teacher asks students to write down the correct use
of punctuation and capitalization from the examples
on the blackboard based on student's understanding
8. Teacher appreciates students answers by giving them
verbal reinforcement

MoT (10 minutes)


1. Students pay attention to the teacher explanation
about the use of punctuation and capitalization in
narrative text about legend
2. Students as volunteers are asked to read aloud the
explanation about the use of punctuation and
capitalization in narrative text on the LCD projector
3. Students pay attention to the teacher about the
example of the use of punctuation and capitalization
in narrative text about legend
4. Students try to deliver opinion about the use of
punctuation and capitalization in the example
narrative text about legend

ICoT (20 minutes)


1. Students pay attention to the teacher 's explanation in
individual work.
2. Teacher gives the papers to the class and one
volunteer hands it out to their friends.
3. Students work on their papers and are asked to
correct the use of punctuation and capitalization
based on the print out text.
4. After 15 minutes, the teacher asks the student to stop.
5. The students will do peer assessment based on the
key answer that the teacher gives.
6. The teacher asked the students about today’s material
experience.

JCoT ( 25 minutes)

1. Students pay attention to the teacher's instructions


2. Teacher divides the class into 5-6 groups
3. Teacher provides a several secret papers containing
several narrative text titles
4. Each group representative takes a paper randomly
5. Teacher gives a piece of paper to each group
6. Students create simple scripts of a narrative
containing dialogues according to the narrative
stories they get in groups (contains at least 8 - 12
dialogues)
7. Students in groups present their narrative scripts in
front of the class
8. Teacher gives feedback and reinforcement to the
students

Closing 5 minutes
1. The students and the teacher conclude the material
that has been studied together.
2. The students are informed of the plan for the next
meeting activities.
3. The students are asked to pray together, led by one of
them.
4. The students are greeted by the teacher.
