EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This report aims to discuss the behavioral


obstacles faced by retail investors in pursuing
value investing. A total of 10 respondents were
asked to join this survey research. 80% of people
are new investors and 20% are hereditary
investors.

OBJECTIVES

This survey report aims to


1. Determine the choices of investors.
2. Determine the actions of investors
(By providing some situational questions).

METHODOLOGY

There were total 10 respondants for the survey


research. Respondants was given a survey
questionnare that consisted 6 pages with 10 to
15 questions.

FINDINGS
Most of the first generation investors are
students.
Some of the second generation investors are
employees.
In an average, the investments are made on
weekly basis or monthly basis.
The advices of financial experts, stock
brokers, social media's are preferred by
investors rather than that of family and
friends.
Its better to not react quickly to good news
and bad news in stock market.
Observing the past trends in stock market (at
least 3-6 months) helps to take wise decisions
regarding investment
Buying stocks with High Fundamental Value is
a better option.
Most of them get disappointed to see rise in
price of stock already sold out by them.
Most of them prefer to buy stocks with low
price to book value ratio or prefer stocks with
low PE ratio.
Do financial analysis before investing in stock
market.
Investing in Growth Stock, Index Fund, IT,
Textile, etc. are preferred more than that of
investments in IPO's, PSU, etc.
Buying stocks at lower value and selling it
with increase in value is a better option.
Most of them invest in stock markets for
diversifying their assets, future security and
safety.
Observing daily trends in stock market helps
to take good decisions.
Don't buy penny stocks.
Buy fundamentally strong stocks with good
momentum.
Invest at least 50% of investment in ETF.
CONCLUSION
Based on the findings drawn, I conclude that
the trend of investing in stock market has been
increased in this era. Students have a really
good interest in investing stock markets. Stock
Market is something which have very high risk.
Besides that the trend of investing is being
increasing day by day. The knowledge of stock
markets are also been increased among the
people.
