ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
DESIGN (Lec)
• Introduction & Orientation
Welcome to AY2022-2023,
future electrical engineers!
INTRODUCTION TO
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM DESIGN
• This course deals with the study of electrical system design, installation, and cost
estimation for residential, commercial and industrial establishments, guided by
the provisions of the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and other relevant laws
and standards.

• The course is designed to develop the student’s ability in the design of electrical
systems for residential, commercial, and industrial installations using modern
computer tools and techniques. It also enhances their decision-making skills and
trains them to work independently or as a participative and effective member
of a team.

• The course culminates with a design of electrical plans for general and
specialized loads, lighting and distribution systems, and cost estimate in
accordance with the provisions of the Philippine Electrical Code.
