II. VISION AND MISSION 

A. Present Situation

Candy is generally described as a broad category of sweet foods, also referred to

as “confections.” and it played an important role in cultural traditions and celebrations for

thousands of years and continues to be enjoyed by most people as an occasional treat.

(Hornick et al., 2014). It can be eaten as snacks, desserts or anywhere you go. The

different taste, flavors, shapes and colors of candies gives an attraction not only for the

kids and teenagers but for the adults.


Filipinos usually eats dessert after meals or commonly known as “panghimagas”. Most

of these desserts are sweets. Nutritional facts are now highly considered in choosing

foods to insure nutritious benefits. When Filipino thinks desserts, they think sweets or

candies. It’s something that gives excitement after eating meals. Candy is a thick mixture

of fruit, flour and sugar that is boiled gently but quickly until the fruit thickens and has an

organic shape yet soft and chewy (Gaytos et al., 2019)

In Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte there’s some stores which are selling

candies like pili tarts, bukayo, puto seko, and other sweet delicacies. The proponents

decided to make healthier, nutritious, and different innovative candies by using

vegetables as a main ingredient. The flavors of candies will be made from

turmeric/ginger, bitter gourd, moringa, and squash. Which can easily found these

vegetables not only in the market but in the backyard.

VegieDelights will use vegetables as main ingredients to make innovative sweet

chewy candy. These candies have a good flavorful taste and gives happiness to the

customers because of the benefits it has and it will help to boost the immune system.

B. Vision 

Providing safe and healthy food is at the heart of our business. We aim to be

recognize as the most preferred sweet desserts made from nutritious vegetables in Jose

Panganiban, Camarines Norte, Philippines. 

C. Mission 

Our mission is to provide a healthy and nutritious food at a reasonable price where

customers can enjoy a variety of healthy, delicious and sweet desserts that have a variety
of health benefits. We strive to give the highest quality product, well-prepared and good

service for the satisfaction of our customers.

D. Objectives 

The objectives of the proposed business are to:

1. To earn and maintain the profit.

2. Provide and increase high quality product to satisfy customer.

3. Introduce new and reliable products at affordable price.

4. Promote products in way of improving health.

5. To find out what's the best suit in the taste of customers.

6. Provide a healthy alternative dessert. 

III. COMPANY OVERVIEW 

A. Name, Nature and Location of Business 

The VegieDelights is the name of the business; It offers a unique flavour of chewy

candies. It is common for the vegetables to have a bitter taste which makes them

unlikable to eat. To balance the taste, it should be combined with different ingredients and

vegetables, that's why the proponents came up with the business name.   

The proponents also come up with this new twist of chewy candies called the

“VegieDelights” to serve this product to customers a healthy living they need. In this new

generation, the proponents observe that the kids and also millennials nowadays that they

crave for something that is unhealthy. So this is the way to find the solution and establish

this kind of product to make something new for them. That VegieDelights is not just

about ordinary chewy candies but made up with fresh vegetables. Otherwise, these veggie

chewy candies will also serve as a guide and a stepping stone to economic growth
especially to the farmers to enhance their farming as the main ingredients of this product

and to those people who want to put up to their own business. The product's packaging

itself is environmentally friendly because proponents use paper instead of plastic. It will

contribute a little amount to lessen the number of plastics which is one of the causes of

pollution and global warming.    

The proposed business will be located at Purok 3 South Poblacion Jose

Panganiban, Camarines Norte. The said location is near in Jose Panganiban Market and

Terminal. It is the best location for the said business, because it is close to a large number

of potential customers, which means greater sales opportunities. 

  

B. Legal Business Description  

VegieDelights is a general partnership business. It has five owners namely Rose

Ann Guevarra, Christine Bauca, Flouny Saludaga, Niña Bilaos, and Allysa Fermo Each

person contributes money, skills or labour and expects to share equally in the profits and

losses of the business. These owners have their own expected roles in their business.

There will be cooperation between the owners and all the partners sharing business risk.

They will handle all the production and operations of the business. The partners have an

agreement that they will provide equally all the resources of their business.   

A general partnership is a business arrangement by which two or more individuals

agree to share in all assets, profits, and financial and legal liabilities of a jointly-owned

business. In a general partnership, partners agree to unlimited liability, meaning liabilities

are not capped and can be paid through the seizure of an owner's assets. Furthermore, any

partner may be sued for the business's debts (Bloomenthal, A. 2020).

The proponents agreed to apply the open communication in their partnership.

Practice over communicating and be transparent, build trust and credibility. The
proponents will combine their skills to set goals, manage the overall direction of the

business, and solve problems. 

  

C. Licensing and Requirements  

Licensing and other requirements All legal business requirements will be

submitted by the proponents of the VegieDelights Business. In order for a business to

operate legally, various documents and requirements must be met.

These are the following requirements established by the government:

3. Bureau of Internal Revenue/TIN Registration

4. Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) registration certificate

VI. ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT 

A. Organization Structure 

The Vegiedelights will have the following officers: The Production manager,

Finance Officer, Marketing officer, Sales associate and the Customer Service

Representative. The organizational structure is a linear and functional management type.

This is a simple and effective way of knowing and giving every member a different and

equal duty and responsibility.

It describes the primary job duties, as well as the other tasks and responsibilities

of each employee that part of the business organization. The Primary responsibilities will

be assign based on their skills or knowledge in a particular field.

Production Officer

1. Plan and draw up a production schedule.

2. Select equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance.

3. Ensure that the production will be cost effective by estimating costs and

negotiating and agreeing budgets.

4. Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.

5. Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control

programmed.

6. Organize the repair of any damaged equipment.

7. Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times.

8. Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.

9. Supervise and motivate a team of workers.

10. Review worker performance and identify training needs.

Marketing Officer

1. Managing and developing marketing campaigns.

2. Researching and analyzing data to identify and define audiences.

3. Conducting promotional activities.

4. Organizing and distributing financial and statistical information.

5. Overseeing campaigns on social media.

C. Compensation Allowance 
The proponents will fill the position of the Business Organization and will receive

corresponding allowances.

E. Profit Sharing Policy

The proponents divided their net income or profit. Fifty-nine percent

(59%) will be distributed equally to the proponents. Twenty percent (20%) will be

allocated for business expansion, thirteen percent (13%) for research and development

and the nine percent (9%) left is for savings.

V.  PRODUCT STRATEGY 

A. Product Description  

The VegieDelights are healthy candies that are different from the normal candies.

These candies give a lot of nutrition benefits not only for the kids but for the elders that

can help to boost their immune system. The VegieDelights will be offered in different

markets or sell in the online platforms and it is made of different kinds of vegetables like

turmeric/ginger, bitter gourd, moringa, and squash. It can be eaten as a dessert, snacks or

you can eat or bring this candy anywhere you go. It is made of healthy vegetables that

consist of vitamins and give a lot of health benefits to our body.    

B. Importance of Product 

The VegieDelights are sweet candies that have a different flavor, colors with an

exact or normal level of sugar/sweetness. The difference of these candies from other

candies it is made of vegetables from the juices of ginger/turmeric which have an anti-

oxidant, Vitamins C that reduces inflammation and even help your body to fight in

diseases like heart and lungs disease, the second vegetable is the bitter gourd which give
a lot of Vitamins A, B, C, D, and E which can also help to improve our eyesight.

Third is the moringa, this vegetable is high in Vitamins A, C, fiber, potassium and

magnesium that help in repairing our cell tissues. 

C. Packaging, Labeling and Branding 

   The packaging of VegieDelights product will be put inside simple transparent zip

pouch in different sizes. In small size pouch its contains 10 pcs of candies, Medium size

pouch contains 20 pcs of candies and Large size pouch contains 35 pcs of candies. The

labeled are using a sticker paper with the product name, flavors of candy and contact

number on it.

VI. Market Analysis

A. Market Definitions

The target market of the business will be in three (3) Baranggay in Jose

Panganiban, Camarines Norte. South Poblacion, North Poblacion and Plaridel. The

purpose of creating new idea in candies to the market is show that vegetables is not only
have a bitter or tanginess taste but it gives also a sweet taste and sweet smiles to the

customers.

B. Profile of the Customers

VegieDelights offered to customers in Jose Panganiban with the age of 5 and

above. The proponents believe that selling in that location will earn more profit and

close to a large number of customers, which means greater sales opportunities. 

C. Competition

All businesses face competition. Even if you're the only store in town you must

compete with restaurant, bars and other businesses where your customers will spend their

money instead of with you. The proponent finds out that there are no competitors in that

area that sell VegieDelights or vegetable candies.
