San Jose City – Business men in Nueva Ecija is investing billion of pesos in
Reknewable Energy Plants in order to make the province the center of the bull’s eye of
an industry that produce electrical energy with the minimum of impact and effect on our
environment.
The frenzy to put up in place green energy plantations were initially started by the San
Jose City “i” Power Corp. (SJC-iPower).
The company is in partnership with the Union Energy Corp., the ownership of which is
by businessman Lucio Co, to establish the set up of a P1.2-billion rice hull-powered
system that is now in generation of 12 megawatts of electrical energy, 10.8 MW of
which feed to the Luzon Grid.
The SJC-iPower is in the process of building another rice hull facility in Barangay Tulat
here. The firm SJC-iPower buy about 300 ton of rice husks per day at P1.00 a kilo
gram.
Joselito Blanco, Chief Operating Officer of the V-Mars SolorEnergy Corp., says a
powerplant which will be made operational and to be fuelled by bana grass will be built
in Lupao, Nueva Ecija, about 15-km Northwest of here.
In near by Talavera Town, the power plant of Green Innovation for Tomoroow (Gift) is
planned to be scheduled to operate in 2 3 months.
Pantabangan town is host to an hydroelectric plantation which was done and completed
in 1877, and the Pantabangan-Masiway hydro electric plant. The plants’ combination of
output is 132.5 MW.
