INSTRUCTOR TIP: Ask students to raise their hands in Zoom to indicate that they
are working on the lab exercises. Tell them to LOWER their hands when they have
completed all the labs to indicate they are finished. This lets you gauge if students have all
completed the exercises
Accessing Remote Labs for Self-Paced Students
This section explains the process to access the lab environment. Please read this
section and perform tasks outlined below.

Using the Student and Lab Guide

Option 1: Use Multiple Monitors

Using multiple monitors is the recommended method when doing the labs. On your larger screen,
have your browser with the virtual environment and on the other screen display the PDF of the
Student and Lab Guide.

Option 2: Print Materials

Unless you have multiple monitors, it may be inconvenient to use the PDF to complete the labs, therefore it
could be useful to print the Student and Lab Guide. Printing the manual will allow you to keep the lab on
your screen while you are following directions and take notes on the printed copy.

We have found that if you only have a single screen and don’t print this manual, labs can take 30% longer
to complete, and students make 50% more errors because they are constantly switching back and forth
between the manual and the lab environment.

Access ReadyTech Lab Environment

Task 1: Select Course from Self-Paced Purchase Portal

1. Go to http://silverpeak.find.training/

æ Each image is different. Your Lab Image should be: SP_ASD_9v1.5-PART_1

Note: The number one cause of student support requests for problems with the self-paced
labs is students picking the first lab in the list instead of reading the directions and choosing the
correct lab.
If you choose the wrong one, you will get the wrong lab image, and the lab instructions will not make
any sense.

Partially Up. If it has not changed to UP within 2 ½ hours, contact ReadyTech support.
