 This style made more of balance and control, grace and beauty of
melody, and the form or design became important.
 Eine Kleine Nachtmusik a composition for string instrument; violin,
viola, cello and double bass.
 Wide use dynamics, such as forte, piano, crescendo, sforzato.
 In G major key, started the piece with a block chord of G.
 With a happy/ joyous melody, easily recognize.
 Mostly the notes used were, half note, quarter note, eighth note,
sixteenth note, a triplet (sixteenth note)

 Tempo is allegro which means fast.
 The first 4 measure of the piece is the most recognizable tune/ melody
of the piece.
 The first movement of the piece is in sonata-allegro form.

Classical Period: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik


 Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is in G Major key. Composed as serenade,
Serenade No. 13 in G Major, K525 as a light, jolly composition for
entertainment. Played with two-violin, viola, cello and double bass. It
uses embellishments like trill and Appogiatura.

 Mozart, mostly uses eighth note, sixteenth note to create the fast, jolly
and light feeling of the melody and timbre. With a combination of
piano, forte and sforzato as dynamics to create different mood.
