Financial Statement Analysis

Learning Objective:

To expose students to understand the financial statement content and make meaningful
analysis in analysing the financial performance of a company and examine efficiency of
various business activities financially.

Task:

1. Select two multinational companies from different or same industries.


2. Find their recent 3 years financial statement of the chosen companies with full annual
report.
3. Analyze the financial information in the;
i- Statement of Comprehensive Income
ii – Statement of Financial Position
iii – Statement of Cash Flow

The analysis should contain;


1. Important financial information such as Revenue, expenses, equity, liabilities and
asset.
2. Important financial ratio analysis as follows;

The report should meet the following criteria;


i. Number of write up should be between 15 to 20 pages including the
background of the companies
ii. The referencing style should be following APA referencing style.
iii. No abstract should be provided.

4. The report submission should be done before 8th October 2022 – via online
submission at Canvas Platform.

5. There will be a presentation starting by 8th October 2022 till 29 October 2022. Two to
three group will do presentation weekly.
