Assignment 02 (Group)

International Trade
(ECN 3000)

With the group of 3 members, you need to prepare a :

a) 20 minutes presentation &


b) 2 page document

on following topic (one per each group) on International Trade theory and practice. Topics
assign to you during the class by the lecturer.

All group members should jointly work in studying, preparation, making the slides, presentation
on both orally and written. The presentation should be covered with:

I. Simple explanation about the theory / study area


II. Evidence of reading and referencing
III. Link to the current affairs and issues relating global economic development (as
appropriate)
IV. High level of academic competencies appropriate in undergraduate studies

The short written report should be :

Assessment Method –

 Presentation Skills (10)

Students will get the parks for the quality of the presentation material, clarity of the
presentation.

 Critical Analysis of the report (5)


Marks will be awarded for the quality of analysis and the situation and recommendations
therein. The report should be convincing to the reader. This is done by ensuring that proper
explanations are given that are supported by factual research. Citation and relevant reference
sources will help ensure that the arguments put forth are clear and irrefutable. The lesser
questions, the reader has in reading the report, the better the strength of the proposal.
Analytical and critical thinking is expected in embedded in this criterion.

 Research, Citation & References (5)


The amount of research done that is reflected in the documentation. The quality of sources
used (must be credible sources, i.e. not merely relying on unreliable Internet resources). Marks
will be given for proper use of citation within the body text of the document and for the list of
references at the end. This includes also the materials appearing in the appendices, in terms of
its relevance.
