Day 1
Hello class! I want everyone to be excited about our geometry topic
this week because it is one of my favorites and we can get very
creative with it. This week I will give everyone the opportunity to
review all the different types of shapes we have discussed in the
classroom with examples, graphic organizers, games, and videos.
You will even have a chance to create your own activity at the end of
the week to see how much you have mastered your knowledge about
shapes!
Objective
I can recognize different types of shapes and their attributes.

Objective
I can recognize, determine, and compare shapes through various
objects.

Day 3
Learning Positions
Objective
I can use movement to explore shapes and recognize the
positions of above, below, beside, in front of, behind, and
next to.
Coloring
This assignment is optional.
Materials needed
Printer
Coloring Materials (crayons, colored pencils, markers)
If you have a printer at home, print out the worksheet and follow the
directions. Make sure to color each object a different color!

Day 4
Creation Day
Objective
Create an original product to show your understanding of shapes and
recognizing positions.
What’s a math teacher’s favorite kind of tree? Geometry.
Using the chart below, pick a number as your starting position. Use
directions (above, below, next to) to move around the board. Write
three directions to find your ending position. When you are done
describe the object and the shape.
Example: Move one spot to the right. Move two spots below.
