communication skills are associate to higher grades...The theme of this module is to identify
lack of communication and improve communication skills among the group to make sure
effective interpersonal and conceptual individual skills. There are several clear illustration of
both pros and cons of communication among the group. Strengths that should be the
capability to communicate properly with friends, superiors, colleagues, and staff is
essential.Weaknesses generally indicates informality, email-writing, and instructional
documents for staff. The report suggests arranging workshops or training program for

Introduction
Communication skills are intermediate progressing in college-school, job, and also in life.
Communication is one of the four Cs, such as creativity, critical thinking and collaboration.
Developing a better communication skills is crucial for many purposes. A strong
communication skills are associate to higher grades. A job candidate with strong
communication skill can easily take the attention of employers to seek qualified jobs.
Communication skills are connected with personal, academic, and career progress. There are
several strengths and weakness exist in a group’s communication skills. The main purpose of
this report to address whatever a group doing well in their communication and what they
should improve their skills. (Gopal, 2009)
Findings
Weaknesses
For group communication group learning is important for each and every group member. It
refers to intercommunication with number of people to achieve a certain objectives. In group
communication skill lack of formality is one of weaknesses. Formality refers to how well one
can convey one’s point of views, follow standard communication language etc. Maintaining a
formality while communicating with superior or in an important team work plays a vital role.
As an example: “Due to poor condition of weather we are sorry to inform that the delivery
will be delayed.” This example is included with more formal tone. On the contrast, the
delivery will be late due to bad the weather is an example of informal tone which should be
avoided in practices. Sometimes we use too much formality in communication. By this, the
writer makes the conversation complex to understand for the readers .Thus create
misconducts among the number of member in a group or team works. Based in this, maintain
proper formality is a weakness of a group communication skills. (Popkova, 2019)
Another weakness in a group communication skills is E-mail writing. E-mail is a formal
channel of performing communication. An e-mail should include writings which are not
irrelevant to the topic and should be short and concise and rigidly defined. An e-mail contains
blaming or gossiping is not a formal e-mail .Because it has no place in e-mail. If the subject
of the e-mail remains unclear and the first sentence is not relevant to the main purpose of the
topic, it creates several problems among group members. Ignoring proper subject writing in
an e-mail is one of weakness in e-mail writing. Before sending e-mail ,the writer should think
about an accurate subject according to the topic which he or she want to convey .This will
help the receiver to get the exact point from the email . So from the above discussion e-mail
writing is a weakness of better communication skills in a team work. (Verma and Pande,
2014)
Strengths
The main strength of proper communicating in a group is language. There are about four
language skills in communication such as reading, listening, speaking and writing .These
skills allow us to understand and convey information for perfuming proper and effective
interpersonal communication. Language can be in form of oral-written or active-passive.
Using active form language always a good practice of language communication. Because
active sentence provide direct and straight information. Such as, “A poor woman won a
lottery.” A receiver can easily be able to understand the main purpose. In some cases passive,
passive voice could be an effective way of communication to avoid giving appraisal or
blame. Such as,” black kites are protected by law.” Language skills combine all the four skills
altogether not focusing on only one. Language skills not only improve multi-tasking in team
work but also improve decision making criteria Language enables us to entrance knowledge,
draw to conclusions, to set and obtain goals. By using language we also come to know about
the complexity and solve the problems of barriers. (Language Skills Development:

One of the best strengths of a group communication skills are paragraph structuring. In a
group work are divided among all the group members. An effective communication indicates
mutually respect and positive understanding among team members. Paragraph is a group of
sentences that talks about a single or unique topic and describe the surroundings of that topic.
In an effective paragraph, there must be a beginning topic sentence that describes the main
idea of the topic and keep a consistent flow. Generally a paragraph contains three structure
such as topic sentence, supporting sentences and finishing sentences. Following this
structures the reader can easily take the positive attention of the readers. And the readers can
also understand the main idea which the writer want to make them know. The topic sentence
means topic and opinion of the idea. It doesn’t mandatory to be the first sentience of the
paragraph. As an example, “There are plenty of benefits to buy a hybrid car.” Secondly
supporting sentence is the midpoint of the paragraph containing explanation, proven and
enhancement of idea from the topic sentence. A conclusion sentence indicates is the finishing
piece of writing .It Considers such words that marks the end of your paragraph. It reminds the
reader the main idea of the paragraph. As an example, the low running expenses and
ecological advantages of buying a hybrid car meaning it is likely that people will follow
Alex’s example in the near future. As this is indicates the group communication skills in
writing and convey proper information following the above structure to work on a thesis or

Conclusion
The report has indicating the strengths and weakness of communication skill while working
in a group. It contains formality-mail writing, language skill and paragraph structuring. By
explaining these example the report come to an end that in which part the group is performing
accurately and in which part that need improvement . Effective communication is vital to
achieve bot academic and career goals. Without proper skill it would be very difficult to
convey and share thoughts, ideas among persons to persons. The more we communicate
properly, the better we feel. Communication may break down as a result of many
communication barriers that may be attributed to the sender or receiver. Communication may
interrupt because of some barriers that should be proof read or fixed from senders to
receivers. So finding right channel and techniques of communication and use them properly
is very important. Because wrong path of communication affects communication. (Tips for

Recommendations
It is recommended that practicing language skills such as reading, writing, listening and
speaking is very much crucial to be effective in language skill. The best idea to improve
language knowledge to practice it in a regular basis. Understanding the main theme, read
them properly and solve out the answer improve reading and writing skills. Listening
properly what the speaker want to say and convey is a good way to improve listening and
make a proper sentences to feedback them. Written communication that indicates best
language practice should be a form of resources to train new group members. It is suggested
that to maintain proper structure in writing paragraph, there must be included introduction,
explanation and a concluded part so that all the member can easily find out the central theme
of the writing. A communication should be formal .To maintain formality every member
should follow and practice the use of standard words and sentences. What should be added
and what removed is important in written communication. In case of proper e-mail writing ,a
training or workshop program should be organize to improve the mistakes in selecting subject
line. The body of the e-mail must be concise and free from redundancy. (Salmon and Young,
