Q: What is AWS Cloudfront?


AWS CloudFront is a fast Content Delivery Network (CDN) service that securely delivers data,
videos (Live and Video on Demand), applications, and APIs to customers globally with low
latency, high transfer speeds, all within a developer-friendly environment.
This role will include all aspects of the service experience; designing and building the software,
managing its operations, and delivering on customer performance and scale

Q: What skills are you looking for?


A Software Development Engineer at AWS is a generalist who is not bound to a specific OOP
language.
• You have been focusing mainly on Backend Development for a number of years
• You are proficient in one or more of the following - Java, Python, Ruby, C/C++
• You are comfortable working with Linux, or other Unix Operating Systems
• Even better if you have experience with Distributed or Large Scale Systems
• You are passionate about Backend Development and would like to learn/work with
C/C++ and Rust!

Q: Is there a remote, contract or freelance option?


This position is an on-site and permanent position based in our R&D Innovation hub in Dublin,
Ireland.
We will give you full relocation support including a lump sum to support the move, temporary
housing if needed and relocation assistance in finding permanent accommodation so you will
not be left to organize this yourself. I understand this is a big ask, we have 100's of
nationalities working in AWS Dublin and many of which have relocated with family, so I will be
on hand to get you the answers you would need to move forward.

Q: What is the salary range?


You will be given a comprehensive package comprising of Base, substantial Stock in Amazon
with early vesting, Sign on Bonus (usually year 1 and 2), with considerable yearly base and stock
increases
Although I cannot disclose ranges I can assure you we are very market competitive and you
would be very well looked after in this regard, would you like to share your expectations
confidentially?
Q: What is the interview process?
We operate a 3-step process for Software Development related roles.
• Online technical assessment
• Phone Interview focusing on Amazon Leadership Principles and Tech
• A final remote/virtual interview, conducted via Amazon Chime

You will be given information on each interview in order to help you to prepare, and I will
gladly answer questions along the way via email.
