SEM Raman Spectroscopy Iv-Curve

The document summarizes a study that investigated the structural and electrical properties of PEDOT:PSS/FeCl3 composite films for thermoelectric applications. The composite films were produced via drop-casting and characterized using scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and I-V measurements. SEM revealed a smooth, crack-free surface with spherical features ranging from 0.6 to 1.33 μm. Raman spectroscopy showed peaks associated with FeCl3. I-V characterization demonstrated a decrease in resistance from 10,230 Ω for PEDOT:PSS to 6,321 Ω for the PEDOT:PSS/FeCl3 composite, indicating improved thermoelectric properties from the addition of conductive FeCl3.

In this study, the structural and electrical properties of PEDOT:PSS-FeCl3 composite films were studied to optimize its capabilities in thermoelectric applications. Composite
films based on polymeric semiconductor PEDOT:PSS and conductive material FeCl3 were deposited on a glass substrate via the drop-casting method. PEDOT:PSS/FeCl3
composite films were obtained using a 40% FeCl3 and 60% PEDOT:PSS volumetric ratio. Scanning electron microscopy reveals that PEDOT:PSS/FeCl3 composite film
exhibited a smooth and crack-free surface morphology with a spherical shape ranging from 0.6 μm to 1.33 μm diameter. The Raman band of the composite films have shown
couple of peaks located at 440.17 cm-1 and 580.87 cm-1 which ascribed to the Raman bands of FeCl3. The I-V characterization was used to determine the electrical
properties of the composite film. The PEDOT:PSS/FeCl3 obtained a 6321 Ω, this shows a decrease in the film's resistance as the 40vol% FeCl3 infused in the pure
PEDOT:PSS.
