VI. OBJECTIVES:
a. The learner demonstrates communicative competence through his/her
understanding of Philippine Literature and other text types for a deeper
appreciation of Philippine Culture.
b. The learner actively performs in a speech choir presentation in creative
means.

VII. RATIONALE:

Today’s youth are more likely to face the challenges of interacting


and working with others. The ability to cooperate in collaborative activities
is a skill becoming increasingly important. It is for this reason why there is
a need for students to engage in group activities such as speech choir or
choral speaking. These activities provide cooperation and direct all
students toward a common goal. It also provides for speech improvement
in pitch, tone, volume, rate, diction, enunciation, and clear interpretation of
selections. Furthermore, this activity is anchored on the holistic approach
of using speech choir for improving student’s artistry and creativity. Thus,
they are prime educational tools for language learners.
