Guide To Using The Video Card Testing Program
Guide To Using The Video Card Testing Program
Preparation tools
1. The latest version of the video memory test hard drive
2. Test platform (with integrated display or at least two independent
display platforms)
3. The graphics card that needs to be tested (you need to make sure
that the power supply conditions of the graphics card are all met,
and there is no short circuit drop)
Before talking about the graphics card test, first understand the
partition of the video memory:
2. Type cd /home and press Enter to enter the home directory. (Note the
command space)
3. RX series input cd sh R9 series cd t and press enter to enter the sub-
directory
4. Enter cd rx470 and press Enter (enter the corresponding graphics card
model folder). If you don't know which graphics card models are supported in
this directory, you can enter ls to check the graphics card models supported
in this directory.
5. Type. /tserver -boardtest=memfa and press Enter to test. (The test
animation will appear when the graphics card is used, and the test animation
will not be displayed when using the integrated display) The normal test time
is tens of seconds to two or three minutes. If the card freezes or the test
results in a few seconds, it means that the graphics card has not been tested,
and the core working conditions need to be checked. The above problems may
also occur if the core is damaged or the BIOS is incorrectly brushed.
6.After the test, pass appears, indicating that the channel between the graphics card core
and the video memory is intact. If Fail appears, the channel has failed.
The test result in the figure below shows that the graphics card is divided into 4 groups of
channels with 8 video memory, two of which are one channel. For example: ChA0 ChA1 means
group A channel, 0 means low video memory, 1 means high video memory.
The following figure shows the test results of the R9 series. For some R9 series, one video
memory is one channel. For example, ChA means group A channel. ChB means channel B. The
following 32 dots represent the 32 data lines of the video memory channel. If there is an error,
a number will appear on the video memory dot. It can be seen in the figure below that the 18th
data line of channel A has reported an error.
8.After viewing the results, press Ctrl+x to return and enter the command poweroff to shut
down
N card test:
1. Insert the graphics card into the test platform and turn it on (Note: N
card cannot be started with the integrated display, and the batch file can be
set to one-key blind test or blind typing commands for cards that cannot be
displayed), and enter the N card test program.
6. After viewing, press Ctrl+x to return to the command, and enter pweeoff to shut down
