Women and gambling

Sandra Garcia’s story is illustrative of the way in which many women

cards, Sandra was soon gambling £250 a month and was struggling to
pay the bills. She always (9)used to fill the fridge before she gambled but

Sandra was arrested (12)for stealing money from a friend in order to buy

and joined the support group Gamblers Anonymous. Since then, Sandra

Gender gap in education

exams than boys. Most theories about the causes of this gap

Hello , my name is Anhelina Shelukh and I am a student at your school for the
last 5 years and during this time I have made good progress. For example, in
the Olympiad last year I won 1 position, this year I won the grand prize in the
best essay contest. I have recently passed exam level B1, but I plan to pass
another level C1, but for this I definitely need more practice. Therefore, going
to the UK and immersing myself in the language would be a great chance for
me to improve my English. Also, I plan to study in the UK and therefore I would
love to get to know the country, its culture and its atmosphere.
If you choose me for the trip my parents will be very happy to take care of our
British guest, a big advantage is that my parents also speak English and if there
are any problems they will help to solve them. Also my mother is a teacher of
Ukrainian language and she would like to help in learning this language.
