SHANKARA GURUKULAM
Background and Vision
The identity of ‘Bharatavarsha’ is grounded in the principles, knowledge and continued observance of
Sanatana Vaidika Dharma. Traditional vedic gurukulas were the focal points of such knowledge. In addition to
being breeding grounds of academic excellence for vedas, shastras and administrative sciences, these gurukulas played
a pivotal role in integrating the social fabric by also focusing on inclusive learning, patriotism, health awareness etc.
As custodians of this legacy, it is our duty and responsibility to safeguard the vaidika parampara and channel future
generations back to our illustrious heritage.

With the divine blessings of Goddess Sharada Parameshwari, Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya and Ubhaya Jagadgurus
of the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham, Shankara Gurukulam, a traditional vedic gurukulam, is being
established with the intent of creating such a focal point of learning and reviving our nationalist spirit.
Goals and Objectives of Shankara Gurukulam
