This document proposes developing a Bluetooth gamepad for Android gaming to address limitations of using phone screens for gaming. Bluetooth Gamepad for Android Gaming

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

As of 2022 there are over 4,78,000 Android Game apps present on Google Play store. Over 21% of apps
downloaded on playstore are games. With huge increase in popularity of android games in 2022. With
increased hardware power of android phones, more complicate and more variety of games have made
their way in the android market. But a limitation to android gaming is the unavailability of gaming but-
tons, joystick, mouse, keyboard in android phones that makes gaming experience dull.
The usage of phone screen to add buttons deteriorates phone touch screen gradually and further reduces
actual game size on screen while fingers on mobile screen blocking the view.
Well we hereby propose a solution to this problem by developing a smart Bluetooth based gaming pad
for android phones. This gaming pad is connects with the phone via Bluetooth and has 2 joysticks and
push buttons too thus leaving complete phone screen for game screen and providing efficient movement
and push controls.

LIMITATIONS

This System provides the following advantages:

 Wireless Bluetooth Connectivity with Phone
 Joystick for Movement/flight operation
 Push buttons for fire and other actions
The system makes use of a li ion Battery, Battery charging and monitor system, Push Buttons, Joysticks,
switch, Bluetooth Module and minor components to develop this system. The lion battery can be
recharged using charging port and support wireless gaming experience.
The gamepad has a unique designed and shaped PCB in the shape of a gamepad. The PCB has 2 x joy-
sticks mounted on it for transmitting movement and aim commands to the phone. Also we have 4 push
buttons on the joystick for action commands. Also we use a small LCD display on the joystick to dis-
play connection setting and other gamepad status.
The Bluetooth module is used to establish a Bluetooth connection with an android phone. Once con-
nected the keys pressed on the gamepad allow the user to transmit movement and fire commands to the
phone thus simplifying gaming and making the experience more fun.
The Android Gamepad is a small portable battery powered gamepad that can be easily carried any-
where. Also the Rechargable battery allows user to charge the gamepad and use it while travelling too.
