CONTENTS
Course Learning Objectives:
The Objectives of this course is to explore Harbour and Airports important infrastructure for
economic growth of any country. It requires large scale planning, design and construction. It requires
huge amount of investment. Precise engineering skill is required for the planning, design and
construction and maintenance of Harbour and Airport engineering. The subject covers the
fundamental knowledge of various important elements of Harbour and Airport Engineering. It
includes the planning, design and construction techniques used in the Harbour and Airports.
Pre-requisites: Transportation Engineering

Course Policies and Procedures:


The evaluation of participants will be on continuous basis comprising of the following Elements:

Mid-Semester examination (Internal Assessment-30 Marks)

End –Semester Examination (External Assessment-70 Marks)

Practical Exam and Viva (External Assessment-30 Marks)

Internal Assessment and Submission (Internal Assessment-20 Marks)

For Mid Semester Exam:


● One Mid Semester Exams will be taken of 40 marks.
● If the student fails to pass mid semester exam, then remedial exam has to be given by
student.
● So Final marks will be considered for the Remedial exam.
● At Last 40 marks will be converted to 30 marks as final marks.
● Passing Marks out of 30 will be 12.
For End Semester Exam:
● Final External Exam will be taken by University of 70 marks.
● Passing Marks out of 70 will be 23.
For Practical Exam and Viva:
● External Examiner from University will conduct the Exam.
● Passing Marks out of 30 will be 15.
● Practical and Question and Answer sessions will be conducted by the External Examiner.
For Internal Assessment and Submission:
● Practical Submission and Performance will be in consideration on a regular basis.
● Assignment and other practices evaluation will be considered.
● Attendance criteria will also be considered.
● Passing Marks out of 20 will be 10.
