Sleep researchers have found that established cures for insomnia, for example counting sheep, do
not work. A relaxing feeling has you to sleep easily. 50 insomnia people in 3 groups was
separated the research. Counting sheep and watching a waterfall are implemented by two groups.
There is no special guidances to sleep to be provided to the rest group. Researchers discovered
that imaging about waterfalls helped you to sleep quicker. It was discovered that the group that
focused on waterfalls slept off 20 minutes sooner. People don't seem to get tired doing
mechanical chores like counting sheep because they are too uninteresting. Research on
insomnia has a lot of real-world implications. Severe insomnia is estimated to affect one in ten
adults. According to estimates, sleeplessness may cost the American economy $35 billion

English in ASEAN:
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations comprises 10 linguistically and diverse countries in
culturally. While the ASEAN charter discusses improving the cultural identity of the region,
article 34 states that the exclusive language within ASEAN will be English. The signification of
English is showed in primary school curricula in Southeast Asian countries, with the exception
of Indonesia, where English is not considered as a core subject. However, there have been some
changes in teaching policy in recent years. For example, Malaysia will switch back to Malay
while English will be used to teach math and science at the lower primary level. Singapore also
returned to teaching Chinese when it realized that too few people were fully literate in Chinese
but it seemed too late to resolve the situation.
The non-standard features, especially nonstandard grammatical items, that are not found in standard English
are commonly used in various parts of the world. For instance, in ASEAN English, non-standard features
include not pluralizing nouns or not making sentences in the past tense. At first, it was assumed that the first
language of speakers would influence the English of non-native speakers. However, the existence of many
nonstandard entries suggests that it is because of the contact between people and people are more interested in
the universality and diversity of English.
Although most major companies provide their employees with email accounts as well as internet
access, many of these companies are concerned about potential abuse and monitor their
employees’ use of these media more than 75% of all major corporations report that they monitor
their employees’ use of email and internet access, either by spot-checking or constant
surveillance businesses have many reasons for monitoring email and internet use for example,
they may be concerned about protecting sensitive company information. In addition, they may be
worried about lawsuits arising from sexual harassment because of mass mailing of offensive
jokes. They may also want to identify employees who are surfing the internet rather than
working. In other words, they are concerned about cyberslacking.
