Technology division is performing in helping Nordstrom reach its

 On contract with Nth Degree CPAs as a Consultant, modifying existing October 2013

integrated contact/client management, system administration, and
adding integrated reporting. Tools used are MS Access with extensive
VBA coding.

Consultant, Independent Consulting Engagement, Seattle February 2013 –


 On contract with JRS Biodiversity Foundation as a Consultant, built a August 2013
database application for managing grants including payment and report
forecasting and workflow management, utilizing MS Access and MS
Excel with integrated data connection (for reporting).
 Also built a database application for managing unsolicited grant
inquiries, including workflow tracking, and integrated reporting.

Consultant, Slalom Consulting, Seattle June 2011 –


 On assignment with The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as September 2013
Reporting Program Partner, responsible for requirements gathering,
development and deployment of ad hoc reporting solutions for cross-
foundation internal customers, utilizing a number of tools including:
MS Excel, MS Access, SharePoint, SQL Server, VBA, Power Pivot,
and Tableau.
 In lead role on project team, architected and participated in the
development and deployment of a foundation-wide contract
forecasting/prospecting application to gather and manage future
contract spend data for consolidated internal reporting, utilizing SQL
Server with MS Access (using extensive VBA) distributed front-end
interfaces. This included development of SQL stored procedures and
view definitions for use in the application.
 As a member of a project team, participated in design, development and
deployment of an application for early investment ideation utilizing
SharePoint with InfoPath forms, SQL Server and MS Excel and
Tableau for reporting.

Consultant, Resources Global Professionals, Seattle September 2008 –


 On assignment with Microsoft Corp as Developer/Financial Analyst, June 2011
responsible for migration of data management platform from Excel to
SQL Server, streamlining/automating standard periodic reporting, and
new report creation for the Global Foundation Services Finance
department. Included ground-up design of database architecture and
development of all artifacts including stored procedures.
 On assignment with Intellectual Ventures as Application Developer,
responsible for building out internal annual compensation review
system for Compensation department.
 On assignment with Microsoft Corp. as Capacity Analyst/Technical
Project Manager/Developer, responsible for partner capacity modeling
tool development and maintenance in support of partner ecosystem
analysis for Worldwide Partner Group. This included ground-up
development of database architecture, heavy stored procedure
development and view definitions, and development of all reporting in
SSRS.
 Creation of new modeling applications and enhancements to existing
applications, both Excel-based and SQL Server-based including
building and maintaining ASP.NET web front end.
 Project included primary responsibility for all phases of the project
lifecycle: requirements gathering/analysis,
design/architecture/modeling, development, deployment, and ongoing
training/user support.
Senior Business Systems Analyst, Starbucks Coffee Company, Seattle November 2006-
September 2008
 Supported global end users of Taleo applicant tracking system (ATS)
with live training and documented training materials.
 Migrated reporting from Oracle and Access databases to Business

Resulted in 70% reduction in time spent creating reports.
 As sole administrator for Business Objects reporting solution, gathered
requirements, designed, developed and led training on reporting from
Taleo TMS.
