TESTING
Hose Testing is a test to verify the tightness of the structure by a jet of water. Hose testing is applied to structures not subjected to structural or air testing, but are required to be watertight or weather tight. Hose testing is to be carried out with the pressure in the hose of at least 2 bar (30 psi) during test. The nozzle is to have a minimum inside diameter of 12 mm (0.5 in.) and is to be located at a distance to the joint not exceeding 1.5 m (5 ft). Where hose testing is impractical due to the stage of outfitting, air test or other alternate method of testing such as close visual examination and, where necessary, nondestructive test of all joints may be considered. This test shall be carried out in the most advanced stage of the fitting out of the ship.

TEST REPORT
Up on successful completion of Hose test, test parameters, test conducted period, test pressure and any observations shall be recorded and acceptance signature shall be obtained from the witnessing and certifying authorities. Typical test report format is attached as below.
7.0 7.1
Risks, at each stage are evaluated, utilizing the matrices inserted in Appendix-1 as to determine the level of significance in terms of likelihood of occurrence and severity of hazard based on the allocated numerical values.
