was time to accept Christ?
Being Changed by Christ means understanding who you really are in Him.
What Is a Disciple?
As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his
tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So
Matthew got up and followed him. Matthew 9:9 NLT
Jesus asked us to live how He lived, love how He loved, and do what He did.
I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. My life is not my own. I’ve been bought with a
price. I belong to Him. I will live like He lived. I will love like He loved. I will do
what He did. I am His disciple. When you know who you are, you will know
what to do.

What steps do you need to take to start building relationships with the right
people who will be with you heart and soul?
Biblical community does not only happen within a LifeGroup. There are also
other forms of biblical community that you might need to consider adding to
your life.
1. Coaching – having someone lead you to own your own growth and
action steps.
2. Mentoring – having another person share their wisdom and experiences
with you to help you develop a particular area of your life.
3. Counseling – having someone help you deal with past issues in your life.
4. Accountability Partner – someone of the same sex that you meet
with regularly who holds you accountable in dealing with any sins or
addictions you struggle with.

1. Attend The Chazown Experience. During this six-session experience,
you will uncover God’s dream for your life by examining your past
experiences, your spiritual gifts, and your core values. By the end of the
experience, you will write a purpose statement for your life. You can learn
about The Chazown Experience online at www.chazown.com. You can
also go through the experience with your LifeGroup by downloading free
small group study guides and videos at www.chazown.com. Chazown
experiences are also held regularly at Life.Church campuses. Check with
campus staff to see when the next experience will be.
2. Engage in biblical community by regularly attending a LifeGroup.
You can begin your search for a LifeGroup by visiting
www.life.church/lifegroups. You can also visit the LifeGroups area
in the lobby of your campus for more information.
3. If there is an area of your life where you need someone to help you
develop, consider finding a coach or a mentor to guide you. If you are
battling an addiction or pain from your past, consider finding a counselor
to help you. Your campus staff or LifeGroup leaders can help you find a
coach, mentor, or counselor.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Bible version should I use? Life.Church typically teaches from the New
International Version (NIV) version. The New Living Translation (NLT) is also a
version that is easy to understand. Changed features previous teachings that
use older versions of the NIV and NLT.
What extra materials are helpful? Warren Weirsbe’s Bible Exposition and Be
series are helpful. If you’re looking for a Bible, The Life Application Bible is a
great tool for new Bible students. The Daily Bible is great if you’d like to read
through the Bible in a year.
What do I need to know before starting? It’s helpful to choose a consistent time
of day to read. If you miss a day, don’t panic and quit. Satan wants to talk you
out of reading God’s Word. If you aren’t a great reader, you can download daily
Bible readings from iTunes. Search under daily Bible readings to download.
Also, when reading a book of the Bible, it’s helpful to find a study Bible that
offers a short explanation of each book. You’ll want to know who wrote the
book, who it was written to, and why it was written.
Where do I start? You don’t have to read the Bible from beginning to end
on your first time. The Bible consists of 66 books. John’s gospel in the New
Testament is a great place to start. Some enjoy reading one chapter of
Proverbs each day for a month. Spend time learning the New Testament. Once
you understand the basics of the New Testament, you’ll be blessed by the
richness of the Old Testament. Don’t feel overwhelmed. You have the rest of
your life to get to know God through His Word. Start with baby steps. If you
need some extra help, you might read A Beginner’s Guide to Reading the Bible
by Craig Koester or A Beginner’s Guide to Studying the Bible by Rolf Aaseng.
