Voltaic (PV) project, including the required civil works. The bidder not willing to undertake civil work shall
quote with deviation along with installation partners details / contract and estimated cost of the scope of work
undertaken by the installation partner of the Bidder.

PROJECT CONCEPT

The overall scope of work shall include designing, engineering, procurement, factory tests, transportation,
construction and commissioning of the HSAT . The trackers shall be oriented on a north-south axis and shall
automatically follow the daily sun trajectory from east to west with back tracking mechanism . The scope shall
include all the required controllers, ancillaries, hardware and software required for the efficient and accurate
operation of HSAT.
The tracker system shall be designed using the environmental conditions of the site.
Tracker configuration shall be 1 Portrait, module clearance 500mm from bottom of the module to ground.

Codes For Solar Tracker Structure Design

The solar PV tracking mounting structures and allied ancillaries shall comply with the requirements of the latest
editions of Indian Standards (IS) with updated amendments.

Table 1 below indicates a non-exhaustive list of standards to which all the mounting structures shall conform.
Table 2: Applicable standards for structures
IEC 62727 PV systems - Specification for solar trackers
IEC 62817 Solar trackers for PV systems – Design qualification
IS 800: 2007 Code of Practice for General Construction in Steel
IS 801 Code of Practice for cold-formed light gauged Steel or AISI S100
IS 875: Parts I-V Code of Practice for design loads
IS 808 Hot-rolled steel beams, channels and angle sections.
IS 1730 Dimensions for steel plates, sheets and strips for structural and General
Engineering Purpose.
IS 816 Code of practice for use of metal arc welding for general construction in mild
steel.
IS 822 Code of procedure for inspection of welds.
IS 2062 Specification of Steel for General Structural Purposes
IS 2629 Recommended Practice for Hot-Dip Galvanizing of Iron and Steel
IS 4777 Performance Tests for Protective Schemes used in the protection of light gauge
steel against corrosion
IS 9172 Recommended Design Practice for Corrosion Protection of Steel Structures

Climatic Conditions

Following conditions may be considered for component selection and system design. However, if the Contractor
deemed fit with any other weather condition at the region, can use:

• Ambient temperature: 50 Degree C

• Humidity: Up to 98 RH%
• Maximum Wind Speed: High wind speed of 47 m/s.
• Seismic Zone: Zone III as per IS 1893, low seismic risk prone area.
• Corrosion Zone: Moderate Zone
