Definition of Art: In the Lens of Art Appreciation

According to Google, Art in the perspective of Art Appreciation is a general


introduction to the visual arts, media, techniques, and history. The course is designed to
create a deeper appreciation of the creative processes involved in the visual arts. Moreover,
Art can stimulate thought and reason. That is why it is known to have brought a revolution in
many cultures. It can stimulate ideas as it allows viewers to draw their own emotions in their
thoughts and pull from their personal experiences as they encounter them.

Furthermore, the understanding of the universal characteristics that unite all great art
is referred to as art appreciation. It is frequently employed in conjunction with the study of
visual art forms or the introduction of fundamental concepts in visual literacy. In order to
increase the enjoyment of such works of art by mass audiences, it refers to studying the form
of an artwork. Without considering the subject matter, symbolism, or historical context, it can
be examined. Art appreciation can be based on a person's particular aesthetic and formal
preferences, or it can be based on various design principles and aspects, as well as on societal
and cultural acceptance.

Additionally, Art appreciation is a creative activity that displays technical or


imaginative competence is art. It creates a finished good, an item. The term "art" refers to a
wide range of human activities that involve the creation of performing, visual, and literary
works. A work of art is what the artist creates and is intended for public consumption.
