Systematic Qualitative Analysis of Simple Salt

The document describes a series of qualitative tests to identify the cation and anion present in a salt through observation of color changes and chemical reactions. Key tests include flame tests to identify cations like Cu2+, and acid/base reactions, along with tests using reagents like barium chloride and silver nitrate, to determine anions such as carbonate, chloride, and sulfate. The results of these tests are then confirmed through additional reactions to conclusively identify the ionic components of the unknown salt.
