1. Good morning. I'm Edward Saville. I control the company's finances. I can't stop
talking: I have to get these tax forms completed.
2. I'm Don Prescott. I was hired by the company's head office to check Mr. Saville's
figures. We're not sure it all adds up.
3. My name is Mary Myers. I actually work in the company's other office in
Birmingham and am responsible for the company's operations there.
4. I'm Sarah Keats. I am responsible for planning and controlling our marketing
activities and budgets.
5. I'm Richard Giddings. It's my job to make sure consumers know all about the latest
product range.
6. Hello. I'm Bill Kennedy. I visit customers all over the country and talk directly to
them about our products.
7. Morning. Barry Ramp. I am highly qualified, I was told, so I was put in charge of all
the workers on the factory floor.
8. Andy Kelly. Hi. I'm just an ordinary worker on the factory floor, but I represent the
workers in discussions with managers about things like wages and working
conditions.
9. My name is Jennie Bryant. I don't actually work for the company, but there is
currently a dispute between the workers and management regarding pay, so I was
brought in to try to settle things outside.
10. I'm Joy Bell. I don't work for the company either, but I may be officially assigned to
resolve the above dispute and make a binding decision. This will only happen if
Jennie Bryant can't fix the problem.
11. Hello. I'm Tabitha Sutcliffe. I graduated from college last month and am here to learn
a bit about the company and how it works. I hope they will offer me a job.
12. I'm Sam Michaud. Did your hard drive crash? Is your printer stuck? Can't connect?

13. Hi. I'm Naomi Yarnton. I am in charge of the team that contacts potential customers
by phone.

I’m looking at the jobs pages in the paper. There’s something here I like the sound of. Modus

job. When does it begin?

So what should you do if you’re interested in applying for the job?
