Jig Validation Procedure
i. Introduction
Jig or Fixture are temporary arrangements made for the fabrication of Heater components of
identical or similar measurements. These are temporary structure arrangement to be made on the
discretion of JNK India Execution team for production and simplification purposes.
ii. Responsibilities
Execution Engineer will be responsible for the material distinction and design required for the
fixture. The design will be made and checked and approved by Execution manager and Factory
Production Control manager.
Foreman/Supervisor will be responsible for the correct construction of Jigs/fixtures as per the
approved drawing.
QA/QC engineer will be responsible for the inspection and validation of the Jigs/fixture as per
requirement and approved drawing.
a. Drawing
1. The drawing of jig/fixture will be checked against the fabrication drawing of the item to
be fabricated. To confirm the measurement requirements are fulfilled. After
confirmation of the action the same drawing will be approved.
2. This approved and signed copy by the above mentioned persons will be circulated for
fabrication.
b. Structure
1. After the complete fabrication of the Jig/Fixture it will be checked and released by the
Execution and QA/QC engineer. The checking will confirm the following points:
a. Measurements according to approved Drawing
b. Levels
c. Locking / clamping locations
d. Unwanted protrusions that can damage the profile of component
e. Proper welding of the loading bearing members
f. Any other significant criteria deemed by Engineers or Managers.

2. After acceptance of the structure on the above mentioned points the drawing will be
signed by QA/QC engineer and Execution engineer, a photocopy will be displayed with
the structure and original will be kept on file for recall purpose.
3. After the signed copy is attached to the Jig/Fixture it will be released for use in
fabrication.
