Problem: Undergoing of suffering Depression or Anxiety to the
teenagers and adults
Observation:
In the preteen and adolescent years, anxiety and depression is fairly frequent. This is due to the
fact that adolescence is a period of emotional, physical, and social transformation that occurs at
the same time as teenage brains change. Teenagers want to try new things and gain more
independence. Teenagers are understandably concerned about these transitions, opportunities,
and challenges. Teenagers, for example, may be nervous about starting secondary school,
looking a certain way, fitting in with their peers, performing in school plays, or attending school
formals. Teenagers may also be concerned about obligations, money, and work as their
independence grows.
Teen depression is a major mental health issue that results in a constant sense of sadness and a
lack of interest in activities. It has an impact on how your adolescent thinks, feels, and acts, and
it can lead to emotional, functional, and physical issues. Although depression can strike at any
age, teens and adults may experience different symptoms. Peer pressure, scholastic expectations,
and changing bodies can cause teens to experience a lot of ups and downs. However, for some
teenagers, the lows are more than just passing emotions; they're a sign of depression.
In addition, I and my partner also decided to do a survey. Long story short, many people
experience it.
We also research that six young people (five females, ages 15–19) were interviewed in semi-
structured interviews. Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis was used to examine the
interviews. The following four key themes were identified: "Suffering is overwhelming," "An
experience of loneliness and isolation," "Struggle to understand the suffering," and "Therapy as a
last resort." Reasons for a delay in seeking treatment included a lack of understanding of what is
"normal," the feeling that they must deal with it alone, and/or the lack of a caring adult who
supports the YP in seeking help. The findings show that decreasing stigma and boosting mental
health education for YP, as well as parents, school personnel, and health professionals, will
continue to be important.
What's more, because of this many people find love for they were not experience love and care
of their parents. In my survey, they find ways to enjoy life. Like they go outing, sports, praying,
and etc. some of them do smoking, drinking, drugs and many more.
Depression Signs and Symptoms A severe depressive episode is defined as having five or more
of the following symptoms on a daily (or most days) basis for two weeks or longer:

motivation
Excessive guilt or unrealistically low self-image
Significantly low energy and/or change in self-care (i.e., not showering anymore)

Changes in appetite (i.e., eating too much or too little)
Agitation or severe anxiety/panic attacks
Suicidal thoughts, plans or behaviors — including self-harm (i.e., intentionally cutting or
burning yourself)
The approach to the Problem: We use Narrative Research to the Problem. Because we're going
to collect and analyze people's stories in order to characterize experiences and provide
interpretation.
Research Question:
