Snowman Pattern

FINISHED SIZE

Snowman is about 3 inches (8 cm) high.

MATERIALS

1. Yarn - the examples are crocheted using Alize Bella (100% cotton;
197 yards (180 meters) for 1.76 oz (50 g)). Yarn weight fine.
2. Crochet hook 1.75 mm (or in accordance with the yarn you use).
3. Polyester fiberfill stuffing (or similar).
4. Stitch marker.
6. Darning needle.

TERMS USED

ch - chain (UK - chain)


sc - single crochet (UK - double crochet)
sl st - slip stitch (UK - slip stitch)
inc - 2 single crochet stitches in the same stitch (UK - increase in double crochet)
dec - 2 single crochet stitches together (UK - decrease in double crochet)
(…) - repeat what is inside ( ) symbols the number of times specified in pattern
[…] - total amount of stitches in the round
fo - fasten off (UK - fasten off)

BODY

Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring [6]


R2: (1 inc) x 6 [12]
R3: (1 sc, 1 inc) x 6 [18]
R4: (2 sc, 1 inc) x 6 [24]
R5: (3 sc, 1 inc) x 6 [30]
R6 - R12: Sc around [30]
R13: (3 sc, 1 dec) x 6 [24]
R14: (2 sc, 1 dec) x 6 [18]
Stuff the body.
R15: (1 sc, 1 dec) x 6 [12]
R16: (1 inc) x 12 [24]
R17 - R21: Sc around [24]
R22: (2 sc, 1 dec) x 6 [18]
Stuff the head.
R23: (1 sc, 1 dec) x 6 [12]
R24: 6 dec [6]
Fo. Cut the yarn leaving a tail.

NOSE

Round 1: 4 sc in a magic ring [4]

HAT

Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring [6]


R2: (1 inc) x 6 [12]
R3: (1 sc, 1 inc) x 6 [18]
R4: (Work in back loop only) Sc around [18]
R5 - R6: Sc around [18]
R7: (Work in front loop only). (1 inc) x 18 [36]
R8: Sc around [36]
Fo. Cut the yarn leaving a tail.

SCARF

Make 41 ch.
Make 40 sc starting from the 2nd ch from the hook.
Fo. Cut the yarn.

BUTTON

Make magic ring and 6 sc in it. Sl st in the first sc. (use


black thread Yarn Art IRIs or other and the crochet hook
1mm).
Make 2 pieces.
FINISHING
Sew the nose

Sew the hat to the head. Stuff the hat when you are almost done with the sewing.

Embroider eyes and mouth. Sew the buttons.

Put on the scarf.
