Pastors Notes Monday morning in our staff meeting, I read from John 6, where Jesus performed the miracle of feeding of the 5000 men. He only had 5 barley loaves and 2 small fish. But from that little bit of food, Jesus fed 5000 men, not to mention all the women and children as well. Several things caught my attention: 1) Jesus asked Phillip where they could buy bread, but Jesus already knew what He was going to. 2) the people ate until they were filled 3) Jesus insisted that they gather up the leftovers so that nothing would be wasted. The thing that originally got on my mind was, wonder what they did with the leftovers? Some say Jesus gave them to the boy, other say maybe the disciples took them or they were given to the poor. We dont really know because it doesnt say. Maybe the collection of leftovers was mentioned, not so that we would worry about where they went, but so that we would know that our God doesnt just do enough..He provides enough and THEN SOME!!!!! Our God doesnt do things halfway. He shows up and shows out!!!!! I also thought about how that the people didnt eat a little..they ate until they were full. They were satisfied. Thats my God! He is more than able to supply and satisfy anything we had need of. THANK YOU JESUS! Lastly, I wanted to point out that He always knows what Hes going to do. Sometimes what He asks us to do may not make any sense, but HE KNOWS what He is trying to bring to pass. I just want to speak a word of encouragement today. Our God knows exactly what He wants to do you each of our lives. He has an endless supply. And if for some reason, there doesnt appear to be an answer for your situation, He can take bread and fish and make a miracle. It will not be a little mamby pamby miracle. It will be enough AND THEN SOME!!!!! Get ready.God is about to show up in your situation. Receive it in Jesus name!!!!
Sunday Morning, we began our yearly Stewardship Series entitled A Plenty. We learn Sunday morning that God owns it all..Hes just looking for us to acknowledge that its His and take our hands off. The law of the 1st is so important for us to understand. Once we know that the 1st belongs to Him and we are obedient to Him, we start to become blessed!!!! OBEDIENCE = BLESSING. I hope youll be here Sunday for the 2nd part of A Plenty.
The Open Hand is WORKING!!!!!! God promised that He would continue to bless if we would OPEN THE HAND. For over 2 months now, we have tried our best to be obedient in that area. We almost broke a tithe record in July, weve had a nibble from a prospective buyer for our church building, clothes and shoes have been donated to the Kids Clothes Closet, our toy box for Christmas toys is running over, a large freezer was donated today for Kidz KafeGOD IS TRUE TO HIS WORD!!!!!! You might remember me telling the story of my aunt getting saved at Brownsville Revival and anointing everything my uncle touched, believing for the Lord to save Him. Well, God saved him and now they live in Honduras and do missions work. They are in the states for a short time and I wanted them to come and share. Ill be going to Honduras in February and wanted you to have an opportunity to see a little bit of what God is doing around the world. Hes moving in Jamaica and Honduras, too!!!!!
