Introduction to agile techniques : Traditional project lifecycles ,Agile model and manifesto,
Differences between Agile and traditional models, Introduction of Scrum ,Kanban ,Extreme
programming, DSDM, Lean approach for waste management.
Unit II
Scrum basics : Why transitioning is hard, Why its worth the effort, Awareness, Desire, ability,
promotion, transfer, Start small or go all in, Public display of agility or stealth, Patterns for spreading
scrum, Introducing new technical practices
Unit III
Iterating toward agility implementation : improving backlog, enterprise transition community,
improvement communities
Unit IV
Individuals : Anticipating Resistance, Communicating About the Change, The Hows and Whys of
Individual Resistance, The Role of the ScrumMaster, The Product Owner, Feed them two pizzas, Favor
Feature Teams, Embrace Whole-Team Responsibility, Rely On Specialists but Sparingly, Do a little Bit
of Everything All the Time

Evolving to kanban : pull production through kanban card system, lean manufacturing through total
productive maintenance

Scrum and the organization : Scaling the product owner, Working with a large product backlog,

meeting, Decide how to distribute multiple teams, Create coherence, Get together in person, Change
