1.- APPLIED :
In my future practice I will be devoted to implement reliable programs that will show
progressive outcomes in skill performance and reduction of problem behavior across all
settings.
2.- Behavioral :
The defined and targeted problem behavior that is interfering socially with client will be
the main focus in my practice using reliable data collection, observation and continuous
measurement in natural environment.
3.- Analytic
This characteristic will serve my practice in ways that I can predict if behaviors will
increase or decrease by knowing what is the correlation between environment and
problem behavior.
4.- Technological
Technological quality ensures staff and caregivers will respond in a unanimous way when
behaviors arise. This will include relevant information such skill acquisition plan, crisis
management and antecedents strategies to be used in order to obtain the set of target
behaviors and skills across all settings.
6.- Effective
This characteristic will confirm why target behaviors need to be addressed in order to
produce positive effect in client’s life. Behavior plan and procedures used with client
across settings will only produce replacement behaviors and acquisition of skills needed.
7.- Generality as an outcome will confirm behavior replacement and skill acquisition
will be spread out beyond clinical settings . This will be my ultimate goal to know that
clients are actually doing lasting progress in their day to day life .

Determinism: Is based on cause and effect relations and lawfulness. Everything can be determined.
Empiricism: Is based on facts, observation, and experimentation. An emperor obserserves from his
throne.
Experimentation: Manipulation of variables and taking measurements and collecting data yields
answers. When you are experimenting, you are conducting an experiment.
Replication: Experiments can be repeated to check for errors and ensure that data was collected
reliably. Replication is the act of repeating an experiment with the SAME results.
Parsimony: The simplest and most logical explanation is often the correct explanation.
